Reeves going 3 for 17 from three was quite something to watch. Way too much hero ball for those guards down the stretch and KU's experience carried them.

I like what this team can be if they get their bigs back.

Yeah, i'm not gonna get down on the guys. They played hard and smart for about 37 minutes. If they learn from it and get some size back, this is going to be a good team.

I've seen it a lot over the years and it can be frustrating. It's just something, with Cal's teams, that you hope they figure out by the time the tournament rolls around.

I think Dillingham and Reeves being streaky compounds with Edwards and Wagner doing dog shit exacerbated the volume misses. I don’t think Reeves should be the main shooter, but if no one else is making a shot, might as well let him rip it.

Reeves did nothing vs Kansas St., but so did Toppin and no one else would take 3s. Gotta live with both the good and bad on volume shooters.

Reeves took a good look at the end from 3 that I no problem with. It just didn’t go in.

Precisely. Dillingham got killed on screens and Sheppard took a dumb 3 at the end.

Learn and move on. Miami in two weeks will be a nice shot at redemption.

Typical Kentucky high end team. All the talent in the world, enough to win it, just a question on whether Cal can get it in sync before the season's end.

I can't remember the last time he had a team with this ceiling, to be honest with you.

2016-2017 with Fox, Monk, and Adebayo.

This team should be fine come March. Just really ****ing young and without a true big right now.

I was thinking somewhere between the '14 and '16 team. Not as good as '14 but potentially better than '16.

That was a fun game to watch. At least the good guys ended up winning. 1 game closer to being the all time leader again.

2014-2015 had a mix of experienced players and talented freshmen (Booker was coming off the bench).

This team isn’t that good, but it should hold its weight against 2016-2017 depending on how Bradshaw develops. This team may be even better than that depending on how Dillingham, Sheppard, and Wagner develop as well. I’d take all of them over Briscoe offensively now and TBD if any of them can be as good as Fox. They don’t need to be as natural of a shooter as Monk (who was streaky as hell), but if they can defend they’ll be better than him overall if they can replicate even 70-80% of what he was offensively.

Need to see how they play defensively.

I'm feeling better about them than the last few years. Still a problem in these kind of games where guys want to play hero ball at the end. If they had stuck to what they were doing the entire game, that's a W. When they get an inside presence, they should be tough.

Gotta learn from it and move on.

That’s a Calipari thing. He won’t ramp down the hero ball because he thinks it will hurt recruiting (IMO). And he’s right I think. He needs to recruit well enough that coaching doesn’t matter. And with this class he may have. But yeah, hero ball isn’t going away.

Sheppard took a dumb shot but he needs more minutes. He’s a better pure shooter with a tighter more reproducible stroke. He can really create space on the lanes for the athletes. That kid isn’t the flashy player the other guys are but he brings a lot to the table.

Thank you for showing up immediately after losing and sharing your frustrations for us all to enjoy Sucky fans.

You’re not as entertaining as rupp rafters folks though

Yeah, tonight’s effort was promising. Inexperience showed at times along but nothing too concerning. Wagner and Edwards had off nights.

Get Bradshaw and Oneyenso healthy and this team is dangerous.

I am high on UK. They have some shoemakers this year.

Yea I agree. Most of their players belong in a sweat shop making Nikes

Missouri loses to 0-5 Jackson State. In basketballs

Purdue with a 3/4 court shot to take it to half 45-42

Good game so far. First one in this tourney I've been able to sit and watch completely so far.
