Same here.

I thought we were close under Marty. Not so much. We were like Cleveland & Buffalo this season. Thought we were close but not really.

Nah man.

It's all just selective memory.

That team was 100% driven by the defense. Go back and watch the games - the team was exactly the same regardless of who was under center.

Should they have stuck with Gannon? Sure. Was it the difference between a 1st round loss and a Super Bowl ring? No ****ing way.

The difference between Gannon and Grbac was never big enough to overcome Marty. The worst thing Marty ever did was not step down after 1995.

We were the only team in the playoffs to give the cooking spray ****s a game. A game they had to actively cheat to win. And still, had that phantom hold not been called on Lowery's field goal which resulted in a miss from five yards further out, we'd have been down by one instead of four on that final drive, and would not have needed a touchdown but rather a chip shot field goal to win the game and advance.

No one will ever convince me we weren't the best team in the league that year. That was an epic screw job.
