I understand he has a reputation for being a great corner. But, what if, he plays like shit 4 out of the next 6 games? Or, he could play really well till the trade deadline? Point is, this league sometimes acts like, “what have you done for me lately?” That could override stuff like prestige, past accomplishments, etc.

And yeah you’re right in a way, playing him could expose him to injury. On the other hand, play him now and he could also stay healthy, perform really well and then he maximizes his own value or it could go the other way around. Its a risk.
