Agreed. There's also, imo, the sibling dynamic of his brother just isn't good enough to do what Chuck does, in his opinion. And what that really equates to is that Chuck thinks he's better than Jimmy (maybe correctly)... and that's never a good starting point for sibling relationships.

It's doubly galling in that Jimmy has been taking care of Chuck this whole time and struggling to make it as a lawyer, and Chuck blithely sits back and eats up Jimmy's devotion. Nevermind that the whole reason that Jimmy's struggling so much is in large part due to Chuck's refusal to help him in his legal career. I think that's what galls me so much about Chuck, that Jimmy's certainly good enough to take care of his insane ass and do all sorts of menial bullshit for him that has absolutely zero financial rewards, but god forbid he practice law.

Oh, and he has Jimmy going out and "negotiating" with the firm on his behalf from a legal standpoint, but it's completely under false pretenses the whole time.

It reeks of elitist classism.

wow. very eloquently put. I reckon this is what I was trying to say. especially that second paragraph.
yes I agree that Chuck "worships" the law and thinks he's doing right by trying to keep Jimmy out of the firm. but there's MORE to it than that, and you've defined that....."moreness" quite nicely here.

the "who would you want as a friend" question is nice.....and.....a very tough one! but if we're talking about NOW...the way things are NOW....not considering who Jimmy becomes in the future....I'd go with Jimmy.

I don't know. To me that sounds lame. Besides he had only been out like 3 years or something like that until BB start so there isn't a lot of time. They could show his high school years but that would be tough without Bryan Cranston. They're going to have to pay out the ****ing nose to get him back in.

No to the Jesse spinoff. Don't ruin this entire series by creating a spinoff for everyone.

Jessie Loves Chachi!!

If anyone can do a Jessie Spinoff, it's these guys. I'd be certain that it would deal a lot with his year in captivity...

Zebedee DuBois 04-09-2015 02:47 PM

If they DID a Jesse spin, it should be post BB, showing how his life goes after those dark BB years. Does he become a HS Chem teacher, yo? There are a lot of ways to go there. The pre-BB would be pretty thin.

But ultimately....no - don't do it.

RobBlake 04-09-2015 04:19 PM

i wouldn't mind like a mini series or short episodes posted online

I want a Mike spinoff if they do anything, hell no on Jesse.

NewChief 04-10-2015 10:21 AM

Let's do a fascinating spinoff about Marie and Skyler's childhood.

siberian khatru 04-10-2015 11:07 AM

We need a Tortuga spin-off, just because anything with Danny Trejo is gold.
