I mean, someone has to win. So one choke artist will be able to walk around for a year with people thinking they're not choke artists. Until the the following playoffs. The math on that doesn't add up. No, more likely, KC wins this game and another SB. |

If they can overcome it though, I'd say they're pretty damn dangerous as a team that would play loose on house money. |

Ouch! ROFL
Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney ruled out, which could be bad news for Bills Usually, heading into a playoff matchup shorthanded is a significant disadvantage. However, in the case of the Kansas City Chiefs and wideout Kadarius Toney, it may be addition by subtraction while potentially spelling doom for the Buffalo Bills. Roughly 24 hours before the two sides battle for a spot in the AFC title game, the Chiefs ruled Toney out with hip and ankle injuries. Without Toney, quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be without one less target, but his absence has been a good thing recently. his season, the Chiefs are 4-1 without Toney and have won three straight, including a 26-7 win over the Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round. Furthermore, first-year WR Rashee Rice has taken advantage of the extra snaps without Toney, emerging as a dangerous weapon and one of Mahomes' favorite targets next to tight end Travis Kelce. Rice was inactive for the Chiefs Week 18 season finale, but in the other four games Toney missed, the former second-round pick flashed No. 1 receiver potential, averaging seven catches and 105 yards with two scores. As for worries that Mahomes hones in on Kelce and Rice too much, especially sans Toney, the offense hasn't missed a beat, averaging 22 points with and without him. The much-maligned pass-catcher has had a rough year. On top of potentially costing the Chiefs a victory the last time they met the Bills following his offside blunder, head coach Andy Reid benched him a week later against the New England Patriots after a juggled catch attempt ended up in the opponent's hands. Along with drops and mental errors, Toney has done himself no favors with his production, or lack thereof. Since being acquired in a trade with the New York Giants for two draft picks, Toney has been underwhelming at best. However, this season he's seen a decided decline. Toney has only 27 receptions and one touchdown, setting career-low marks in receiving yards (169), yards per reception (6.3), catch success rate (44.7) and yards per game (13), despite playing 13 games, the most over his three seasons in the NFL. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/chiefs_wr_kadarius_toney_ruled_out_which_could_be_bad_news_for_bills/s1_13132_39844516 |

Funny little update for those familiar with my beer dilemma.
I make the trip out just now to grab Boulevard in this Illinois town. I find the perfect store that even has a neon Boulevard sign hanging up. I go in, grab the precious Tank 7, and I’m of course sporting one of my classic Chiefs hoodies. Only one other customer in the entire store. The mother****er has a Bills hoodie on. No friendly exchanges, no words at all in fact. We both know our role here and we both know that SOB is about to get throat****ed again by Mahomeboy. |
probably a repost but the chiefs are playing the bills on nfl network

Not very often you get a chance at KC +$ before kick off.

Our D stands a chance of stopping Lamar. But our OL will be in for the fight of their lives. It wouldn't be easy. But I think we stand a good chance. Plus, I hate the idea of Baltimore winning the SB..Going back to the Colts days, they would have one more SB than us. I respect Lamar. Not a huge fan of their HC or fans. So...I agree!!! |

Just heard on NFLN that the Bills are going to have to use Poyer as a LB many downs bc of their depleted LB corps.
We need to hit on a few deep balls. They'll be begging us to do it |

KC Chiefs Ready for Disrespected Villain Role in Divisional Round
Oderint dum metuant. :)
KC Chiefs Ready for Disrespected Villain Role in Divisional Round The Kansas City Chiefs are entering unfamiliar territory. They will be on the road in the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, they are underdogs for the first time this season with Mahomes starting at quarterback and it seems a majority of fan bases around America are cheering for their demise. Is this what it’s like to be in their villain era? Of all the teams left in the postseason, the Chiefs have had the most recent success. That will grind the gears of other teams and their fans longing for similar success. One player from the team they just beat, the Miami Dolphins, posted on Instagram that he “prays for the Chiefs’ downfall.” DeShon Elliott said, “I hope Buffalo beats them like they stole something.” Praying for that downfall is odd behavior, but even more strange, he claims to be rooting for a division rival. You’d be hard-pressed to find a Chiefs player saying they would be rooting for the Broncos, Raiders or Chargers against an opponent in the playoffs. For one, those teams have not been in the playoffs very often in recent memory. Secondly, showing allegiance to a team in your own division gives credence to the Chiefs currently being one of the most hated teams in the league. Don’t bother reading Facebook comments or replies under various articles regarding the Chiefs. Fan bases around the country think referees are in the pocket of the Chiefs and the NFL is rigging games in Kansas City’s favor. Yeah, it’s been wild out there this season. When you become the best team in the league with the best quarterback and head coach in the league, this is what happens. Ask the New England Patriots what other fans have thought of them during that string of dominance with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Enjoy being the villain while it lasts, Chiefs Kingdom. It just means other teams and fans wish they had what you do. As for the game this weekend, the Chiefs are traveling to Orchard Park to take on the Buffalo Bills for what will be their third playoff meeting in the last four years. The Chiefs are 2-0 in those first two meetings, but this one will be different. One Bills player suggested the Chiefs, specifically Mahomes, aren’t going to know what hit them when they step on the field in front of Bills Mafia. National media has also been disrespecting Mahomes. Jason McIntyre of FOX Sports claims he “wouldn’t be shocked if the Chiefs got blown out” and ranked Mahomes as the seventh-best quarterback remaining in the playoffs, only ahead of Baker Mayfield. Dan Orlavsky of ESPN claims Mahomes is the third-scariest quarterback left in the playoffs behind Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy from FOX Sports claim the Bills have the quarterback advantage in this Divisional Round game. Peter Schrager of NFL Network was the only one on his show to pick the Chiefs to beat the Bills this weekend. The list can go on and on, but it’s obvious the Chiefs are being disrespected despite being the reigning champions and having the most experienced head coach and quarterback left. The Chiefs had a chip on their shoulder before the season started in 2022 and used that to fuel their run to another Super Bowl title. Could the doubters and haters once again fuel another Super Bowl run for the Chiefs? It's possible, but that isn’t the only reason to believe in the Chiefs, especially this Sunday. The Chiefs lost to the Bills in the regular season, but they were missing two key pieces on that Sunday: running back Isiah Pacheco and linebacker Drue Tranquill. Pacheco is the type of running back you love to have on your team in January: a hard runner who is tough to bring down, even more so in cold weather. He helped control the game in a win over the Dolphins last week and should be able to do more of the same again against the Bills in Buffalo. Tranquill will be tasked with limiting Bills running back James Cook, who torched the Chiefs in the regular-season meeting. If you’re expecting another big game out of Cook, those expectations might be squashed by Tranquill. Not only are these two players going to be major factors in the outcome of the game, but the Bills have several players who have already been ruled out and others who will be game-time decisions. The Chiefs are healthier, which could help them advance to another AFC Championship Game. Despite the rough regular season record against the Bills, the Chiefs' postseason success can’t be denied. Mahomes and company always seem to step up when it matters most and with the best defense of the Mahomes era, it seems like they are building toward something big yet again. It’s ok to embrace being the hated team, it means they’re doing something right on the field. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/chiefs-ready-for-disrespected-villain-role-in-divisional-round/ar-BB1gZXLn?ocid=msedgntp&pc=LCTS&cvid=81cfe7e59d0843a599d6cedbcb78724b&ei=8 |

I kept waiting for some bad news this week that never really came. Confidence is high.
Really banged up defense for the Bills. Their LBs are kinda like our OL going into that Bucs Super Bowl. Lost key guys all year and kept figuring it out. Feels like one too many losses for them and it’s going to be ugly. You just can’t trot third stringers out there and expect it to not get exposed. Really shitty luck for the Bills. Our defense is flat out rolling. They’ve only had one bad game all year and that was a game where we were missing both Bolton and Tranquil. Sorta how the Bills will be tonight, except it’s worse for the Bills (we still had Gay and Chenal). Bills pass rush seems to have fallen off a lot recently and that back end is beat to shit. Chiefs have figured it out with Toney and Moore on the bench forever. Too much going the Chiefs way right now. I don’t care about the intangibles of this one. We have Reid/Mahomes. The intangible edge should go to us always. We’ve actually won these games before. I’m predicting 23-13 Chiefs. 2 TDs and 3 Field goals for the Chiefs, but a major yardage advantage. The game won’t look as close as that score would indicate. |
