I know this is a running joke but...

Girls move their lives to different states ALL the time to cheer for teams. Why aren't you recruiting better?

You have many beautiful young women in Missouri but even if you didnt, something is stopping girls from chasing the Arrowhead dream.

I'm betting it's their locker room.

Anyone know what % of the new Royals stadium the owner there is paying for?

Clark is offering to pay for 37.5% of this. Wonder if those percentages align.

Katipan 02-28-2024 11:17 AM

Omg.

Do you ever see the Hunt girls with the cheerleaders?
I think we know why your talent pool.

cmh6476 02-28-2024 11:20 AM

So less stadium capacity?

Mark Donovan: This project is also about growing Kansas City. We are proud to announce that the Taco Bell across the street on Blue Ridge Cutoff will become a Taco Bell Cantina.

So it's mostly just stuff outside the stadium plus some field level suites? Or was there more not shown in the photos?

New concessions and restrooms. New upper-level concourse with heaters. New TVs. New furnishings/fixtures/AV in the existing suites.

The screens, field access tunnel, and pedestrian bridge are where the bulk of the cost seems to be if I had to guess.

I've figured out where all the money is going. $750m is being spent on a solid gold statue of Mahomes outside Arrowhead lifting up his 10th Lombardi trophy.

Fish 02-28-2024 11:38 AM

Yeah, that's a bit of a letdown. Not much actual benefit for the common fan. 95% of it is simply new ways for them to make money.

It's also funny how they try to allude that Arrowhead is out in the middle of some Midwest wheat field...

I know inflation and all that, but how does THAT cost 70% of what it took to build the cowboys stadium and 42% of what it cost to build the Raiders stadium?

While I think the vote will pass anyway, this did nothing to help it. Fans don't want to pay more just for the ability to park further away and walk on a bridge to the stadium.

Should have just added a roof and left it at that. Could have had a gravel parking lot and people would have been ok if it meant they didn't have to freeze once they got inside the stadium.

It was always going to be about making more money.

When you put it in those terms, just build a brand new stadium. JFC.

Somebody did a sneaky on there. Buffalo as the opponent and the Chiefs have 13 points

It's kind of interesting that they didn't say "GEHA Field" during the presentation like they usually do during official press conferences. They're trying to sell this thing.

By the time it's finished, GEHAs contract will be expiring or will have expired depending on if they finish 2030 or 31.

This is great! I am way too lazy to tailgate. Now I can have an entertainment district and something to do before and after the game once they get rid of that baseball team

Good. Maybe they can get a sponsor that has a less GHEA sounding name
