Nicky Lopez is on one hell of a hot streak right now. He's got his BA above .300 because of this streak. Over the last month he has a .373 BA .426 OBP .466 SLG .892 OPS and is playing SS at a GG level.

Mondesi being on the IL so much is a blessing in disguise, because Lopez doesn't get to breakout if Mondesi isnt injured.

2) This is to announce organizational change in the minor leagues (new teams, etc.)

3) This is to announce they are seeking a downtown ballpark

Fingers crossed it's 1 or 3. Couldn't care less about number 2. Any internal candidate you think might be the heir apparent?

Piccolo is the obvious candidate. He has interviewed for GM jobs elsewhere and been a final candidate.

I could also see Scott Sharp getting a look as a dark horse option.
