It's a popular opinion Moony's season was ruined by Fields. Many think he'd get a thousand yards on a team like KC.

He would allow us to run more of the 2021 chiefs offense. He excels at things we simply haven’t had on the roster since.

I'll take Tyler Lockett over Mooney once he gets cut.

RunKC 03-02-2024 08:03 PM

Gonna say this was probably more of a Justin Fields problem than a Darnell Mooney problem

The Texans have Stroud and cap space and are basically his hometown team. That would be my betting favorite.

That would absolutely suck ass if the Texans get Evans. That makes them even more dangerous.

In a passing offense
with a decent qb
With attention being drawn away by dk

This is the way.

Worst case scenario is we get a cheaper MVS. Best case is he returns to 2021 form reunited with Nagy and we're golden.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-03-2024 09:54 AM

Mooney is going to be Juju or better in this offense.

You add a rookie deep threat on top of that and Patrick wins another MVP.

For those fretting about the Texans cap space, they have some up and comers on defense that they’ll want to retain. That’ll eat up some of that and bring them back down to earth. Adding Evan’s doesn’t really move the needle.

Boxer_Chief 03-03-2024 11:30 AM

With the receivers the Texans have I don’t see why they would sign Evans.

Interesting. But with the WRs available this draft, and some of the less expensive FA WRs available, not sure trading for and then paying this guy would make sense for us.

If I can get Adonai cost controlled for 4+ years I am just taking him rather than pay Aiyuk and pay a monster contract.

Obviously we would need to add a real WR in FA that could make a difference.

If nothing else, the number of teams interested in Sneed is encouraging.

Dolphins have 21, 55, and then nothing until round 5. Have to think the discussion there revolves around 55.

With Detroit, there are a lot more options. Something where KC gets 61 and 73 while the Lions get Sneed and 95 is a nice bundle.

Chiefs have about $3.5 million in cap space right now. Sneed is taking up $19.8 million, and will until we trade him. There are ways to get the money needed to sign Jones, but it probably needs to be done before March 11th when legal tampering can begin. Business opens on the 13th at 4:00PM Eastern. Probably can't trade Sneed until the 13th at the earliest, which means Jones can chat with other team from the 11th to the 13th unless the bank of Mahomes is open for business this week. This may not be as much of a slam dunk as it seems.

For some reason Over the Cap is wrong

With the cap increase we’re we’re at 18 mil

They added in the sneed cap hit 19.8

Taking us down to 9.5 mil

But they didn’t add the MVS addition 12 mil

The other weird thing is where the 6 mil come from. 9.5 to 3.;?

But no over the cap is way off. It’s not updated.

Okay. I saw the Dead Cap space at the very bottom that had MVS $2 million added in, so I assumed his 12 had been added in and was offset by Sneeds $19.8 million.

Not true. Kelce could very possibly be retired by the time Rice is up for his extension and I think they want to be sure Mahomes has at least his "one guy".

Now the question is does this take Tampa off the board as a team who drafts a receiver in the first round? If so then Adonai Mitchell or Worthy might be back in play.

I was wanting Evans but not at that price. Was thinking $20M max

O.city 03-04-2024 09:15 AM

Have some of you paid any attention to this whole thing the past few years?

"I wanna go with a QB, where I can win, etc".

"I'm gonna go where they pay me the most" is all you need to know. Nothing else matters.

Wait a second. Wait a damn second! You mean to tell me that Mike Evans went back to an owner that got a D-, an franchise that got an F for treatment of families, a C- grade for locker rooms, an F grade for worst in the league in team travel and an overall ranking of 24th in the NFLPA surveys?!?!

It’s almost like that’s all bullshit and money is what these guys care about ROFL

That was Mike Evans "all about legacy" moment. He ended up signing for top dollar. These guys are straight up prostitutes.

I mean I get taking the money just don't make it sound like you care about winning. Tyreek didn't care about winning either.

I still think we bring Tranquil back on a decent deal

That would be great. But doubt he does a 1 year deal.

I'd do three with two real years.

I saw where like 4 players got competitive pay increase on their rookie deals.from being top players like creed humpries..like 12.million for all the players on one of the sites.

I lie my ass off during job interviews and take the highest paying job I can find. I don't understand the hate on him saying winning is important.

Good work if you can find it.
