I'm no fan of Alec Baldwin the actor/person. This scene from Glengarry Glen Ross is as good as you can get. It's Baldwin's only scene in the movie, but it's the part you remember most. Can you imagine one scene with Kevin Spacey, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris and Alan Arkin and you steal the scene.

I cannot find an adequate clip on youtube of the final fight on the side of the mountain in The Last of the Mohicans. The fighting and the suicide against the backdrop of the beautiful landscape and wonderful score is absolutely terrific.

Why do people have to screw up the clips they share by showing too little (usually the case) or too much? And when they do get that part of it right they then half the time proceed to screw it up by recording their TV screen for an absolutely horrid picture. Makes this enjoyable thread a bit frustrating to contribute to at times.

For some reason, when Clint Eastwood movies are mentioned, they always omit Play Misty for Me. I have to say, it's one of his best. It might be a little dated since he played jazz music as a DJ, then again, jazz would be less dated than rock of that era. It was a sort of Fatal Attraction.

I honestly hadn't even heard of it until 3-4 years ago. I was having an issue with a coworker that bore no resemblance to this film other than there was clearly some form of obsession with me on her part. And as I was talking to my dad about it he brought up this movie. I gave him a blank look. "You've never seen that? With Clint Eastwood?" "I've never even heard of it, dad." I sought it out after that.

But yeah, for whatever reason it seems to be a long forgotten gem.

I'll preface the next clip with my observation over the years that the favorite John Wayne trivia for most is how many movies he died in. And I have observed that most everyone believes the correct answer to be 5. It is not, it is 7. This clip is one of those scenes. There is another Duke versus squid scene from a film 5 years later titled Wake of the Red Witch. It is kind of rip off of the first with a different result in the scene but, with a watery grave ending for the Duke at the end of the film just the same (so there is 2 of the more difficult to come up with of the 7). I'm not finding the WOTRW scene on youtube otherwise I'd throw it in for good measure. Anyway...

I was just going to watch it until Dorothy landed in Oz, wanted to see the storm. Then just until she started down that yellow brick road, then just until.........yep, saw the whole movie, ha!

I need to watch this again for what ever reason I can't think of one but i remember it as a really dark lighted and dull portrayed movie. I don't remember much of it though so i guess i should watch it again. It's gotta be Tom Hanks worst movie if i could remember it much.

Bonfire of the Vanities is the worst movie in a number of careers, Tom Hanks' among them. But it's hard to blame the actors, as the tone of the movie utterly massacred the brilliance of the source material. It's like someone bought the rights to Game of Thrones and staged it in the mold of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Can't link at the moment but the ending of The Dark Knight is one of the most brilliant endings to any film ever in my opinion.

I remember seeing it in a packed theater way back in the summer of 2008 and when Gordon's closing monologue ended and the credits rolled, there was an eruption in applause by the audience I saw it with. I literally got goosebumps from it.
