Has anyone mentioned the horrible boss Will Ferrell vs Pierce Brosnan? That one is very underrated.

the Japanese Game Show with Farley where he's like a midwestern guy vacationing in Japan, and somehow finds himself on a gameshow, where everyone is speaking Japanese. eventually, one of the contestants misses an question with a wrong answer, and Mike Meyers (the Gameshow host) is dissappointed, and the contestant has to cut off their fingers. LMAO

Farley starts seeing this as his turn is approaching and begins sheer panic. LMAO

I can't embed this one and it's not available anywhere else.

One of my favorite SNL sketches and really illustrates how great the show used to be back in the day.

I cant find the regular SNL thread.

I thought the Steve Martin and Martin Short hosted show last Saturday was one of the overall best I've seen in years.

This HAS to be in consideration

I don't know if I can pick one, but the Bass-O-Matic skit runs on autoplay continuously in the back of my mind.

I always wondered if this sketch got cut simply because nobody in the cast could keep it together during rehearsals.

scho63 12-20-2022 06:22 PM

That Neil Diamond GIF in post #166 needs to be deleted or moved off AUTOPLAY

This isn't necessarily the best SNL skit, but it is the skit that made laugh the hardest. I laughed so hard I cried.

The Denise show with your host Brian.

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:08 PM

Some of my favorites in the next several posts.

Starting with What's That Name with John Mulaney.

It's written to perfection, and it is a vintage Bill Hader showcase.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rImxuuD_kwM" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:10 PM

First Impression.

This thing is an absolute madhouse. Bill Bennett is one of the most underrated cast members ever, and Jason Mamoa nails his part.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tDUv59Yu04Y" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:11 PM

Totino's.

The writing in this skit is snipped to perfection, and Vanessa Bayer is a riot.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3dzOLoOEToc" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:13 PM

This skit was probably funny on paper. In execution, Sudeikis/Strong/Day make it one of the greatest. Sudeikis of course roasts Melissa Villasenor during the skit for screwing up a line while keeping the scene in tact. Guy is a genius.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hSWlwM4s1Ds" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:14 PM

Meet your second wife.

All the actors had to do was keep it straight and let the writing take the premise home.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MJEAGd1bQuc" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Bowen Yang, national treasure as the Iceberg that sank the Titanic trying to set the story straight. This will be on SNL retrospectives for the next 100 years.

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:17 PM

This was already a funny sketch. It was written perfectly, and everybody nailed their part.

And then Kate McKinnon showed up and burned the entire place down.

Direckshun 12-30-2022 01:20 PM

Black Jeopardy's were all fantastic, and the famous one with Tom Hanks is probably an All Timer, maybe the best skit the show has ever written.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/O7VaXlMvAvk" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

But this one with T'Challa from Wakanda was just as amazing.
