Ah, the part where diqlix spams the board with Josh Allen stat tweets and shows CP how little he knows about football while trying to convince us that a team not winning Super Bowls is actually more impressive than a team that does.

They lose ONE GAME, and now all of a sudden they’re shit?

Interesting take.

Let’s see how it plays out…

Probably because your O-line situation hasn’t been fixed, your 2nd year corner (Elam) is trending the wrong way, your other CB, White isn’t performing at the level he should, you still have no replacement for Edmunds, your safeties are not getting any younger, your running game is still suspect, Diggs is unhappy and you lack a solid #2 WR. The only place you upgraded was TE. Your division will also be more difficult as will your schedule.

Did I dream that the Bills have won 2 of their last 3 at Arrowhead?

Sure you can wash those wins away by saying they didn’t happen in the playoffs… but they still happened at Arrowhead!

Ah, but when it really mattered...13 seconds.

Go get your shinebox.

1) Allen was flat garbage until Diggs. Mahomes has been great since day 1.
2) Allen is a fumble/pick machine. Mahomes is one of the least mistake-prone (good) QBs in history.
3) Mahomes is a 2 time champ/2 time MVP/2 time SB MVP. Allen's most notable achievement to date is coming within 13 seconds of beating Mahomes in the divisional round.

Hi, My name is Shelia and I'm Diclix little sister. Just thought I would add that Mahomes came into the league playing with Hill, one of the best and fastest wr's in the league, and Kelce, the best TE in the game. Allen came into the leauge with Zay Jones as his number 1 target and overrated Charles Clay as his TE. He didn't get to throw to Diggs until 2020 and yet put up remarkable numbers his 2nd season as a starter with John friggen Brown as his #1 target.
Just putting your #1 point into a more proper perspective.
Carry on!

Sure, if you want to hand wave away the huge step back your team took midseason and their absolutely wretched close to it.

Bengals looked poised to beat the brakes off of you until Hamlin went down.
Patriots were giving you fits until WELL into the second half.
Dolphins almost eliminated you wild card weekend with ****ing Skylar Thompson at QB.
Bengals came to your house and figuratively slammed you through every table in a 50 mile vicinity of that stadium.

Sheila, you don't know anything about football.

Josh Allen threw for 3,000 yards and 20 TD in his second season. That is awful.

Now get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich, bitch.

FightingKnight05 08-24-2023 10:05 AM

HI there Hammock!! He also ran for over 500 yards and had 9 rushing td's on the season. Would have loved to have seen the script flipped with Josh entering the league with Hill and Kelce and Patty entering the league with Zay and Clay. Just food for thought.
What would you like on your sandwich?

Agree with you on all points. Rousseau has shown flashes but has been far more JAG than anything else. Von Miller was incredible last year. If he can be that again this year, I’m confident in the d-line. As for why we paid Oliver instead of Edmunds, your guess is as good as mine. It is mind boggling.

We also signed Leonard Floyd as Von Miller insurance.

The o-line is fixed. Have a pro-bowler at LT and C. We signed Connor McGovern, who is a good guard, to play LG. He is also a great asset because he can play either guard position as well as center. We also drafted O’Cyrus Torrence, who had a first round grade, in the second round, to be our RG.

The only iffy linemen we have left is RT Spencer Brown.

Elam played well in the playoffs but was bad in the regular season. I don’t know what to expect from him.

Diggs said he completely fine and that the Stephen A Smith source was made up. To quote Diggs “100% not true” and said he wants to retire in Buffalo.

Davis is our #2 and is a good player. You should know that. He has 5 TD’s in his last two games against the Chiefs.

And as you mentioned we added a stud TE in Dalton Kincaid.

I’m worried about MLB but it’s impossible to say the Bills didn’t get better. This is a better roster than last year, and we already went 13-3 last season.

Nothing about his season was "remarkable." Please learn something about football other than how great Joshie's butt cheeks look in tight pants.

mr. tegu 08-24-2023 10:22 AM

Allen has only had 26 games (post season included), or 31% of games, in which the opponent scored 24 points or more. 9-17 overall in those games. 0-7 before 2020. So 9-10 after 2020. 2-3 post season.

Burrow has had 18 games (post season included), 37% of games, where the opponent scores 24 points or more. He is 7-11 and 1-0 in the post season.

Mahomes has had a remarkable 57 games (post season included), or 61% of games, in which the opponent scored at least 24 points. That’s nuts. His record is a ridiculous 30-17, 5-3 in the post season.

One of these guys is so far above the others that the gap between him and them is greater than the gap between those other two and those below them on the pecking order.

Dawkins has been terrible in the preseason and is average at best when healthy. McGovern is a nice add, but the rookie guard has looked overmatched at times (and his first-round grade was draftnik nonsense). Brown was bad last year and has been bad in preseason action.

Elam played well in the playoffs? Was that while the Bengals cut through your defense like a regular wear-and-tear through Von Miller's knee? Or are you talkiing about how he performed against noted JAG Skylar ****ing Thompson?

Gabe Davis has a bad case of dickhand-itis and most of your fans are frustrated they didn't upgrade #2 WR. Or #3 WR. Or #4 WR. I get it.

But congrats on Gabe Davis having a great playoff game against a bunch of guys the Chiefs immediately kicked to the curb and replaced.

Kincaid could be a really nice add if he bucks the usual TE Year 1 disappointing performance, and the Bills use more 2 TE sets.

But yeah, no upgrades on the DL (other than hoping Miller comes back quickly and is 100 percent). Secondary is exactly the same, just older. LB is worse, by a significant amount.

The Bills are probably better at TE (again, relies on 2 TE sets or Kincaid playing over Knox and Kincaid bucking rookie TE trends) and are better at LG.

The Bills had the #2 defense and the #8 running game that season.

That's a better defense and running game than Patrick Mahomes has EVER played with, by a long shot.

Here is what gets me though. Bills fans on their own website talk about Mahomes with respect. Most of them even call him the best qb in the NFL, meaning they are able to see without wearing rose colored glasses. A good number of fans on your message board call Allen garbage, meat head, all kinds of nasty terms and this is nearly always unprovoked. Meaning it doesn't come because someone calls Mahomes anything other than the best QB in the game because no one every says that. Mahomes is the best in the game, period. A generational talent. But damn if someone even suggests he's helped out a lot becuase of the talent around him on the field or his coaching staff, all hell breaks loose. You realize he isn't a god, right? Just asking.

great point you make about the bills having the #8 running game! they were a run heavy offense with an O.line designed to run block over pass block. This goes back to the QB before Josh in Tyrod Taylor. Same olinemen, same oline coach when he was drafted. The schme was run first, run heavy then and carried over to all of 2018 and part of 2019 with Allen. He didnt' have to nor was he asked to pass for 300 yards a game like Mahomes was. He also didnt' have Hill or Kelce to throw the ball to.

Again, he faced Skylar ****ing Thompson, and the Bengals had their way with the Bills. If they weren't throwing at Elam, it was because they didn't need to do it. This is a great example of a misleading stat.

Congrats on that 13-3 season. What did that get you, other than something to make you happy when you reference it? I remember when I used to talk about the Chiefs going 13-3 in 1995 and 2003.

Floyd has been a nice player but also has always been a 2-point stance rush backer. Most of the guys on your DL are just guys. Maybe Rousseau takes a step and Miller comes back just as good as he was before his injury. Maybe. But Floyd is not a needle mover, and neither are Oliver or Epenesa or Bashem.

Both your star S are 32 years old and coming off seasons where they lost major time to injuries. At DB, the clock runs out fast. Major warning signs on them.

Like I said, you got better at LG. Maybe at RG. Minor improvements on the OL. The defense is aging rapidly and lost a key player in the middle in Edmunds.

I think you'd find few who agree the Bills improved their roster in any major way, other than Bills fans.

little brother, I came in here to help YOU out! Some of the things you are saying are either skewed or flat out lies. Dawkins is a pro bowler, yes, but he looked awful in preseason action so far (he has even admitted that himself) and showed up to camp way out of shape and overweight, even for him! All you have to do is log onto twobillsdrive and you will see post upon post of people calling him out for his dismal and uninspired play so far. The o.line is NOT fixed, not even close to being fixed. If Buffalo is lucky, it will be an average line at best. I know you are a Bills fan, as I am, but you say things that are foolish and just plain wrong. Makes me cringe to read some of your posts sometimes.

Sure you can wash those wins away by saying they didn’t happen in the playoffs… but they still happened at Arrowhead!

You don't need to convince me. What I posted is coming from YOUR fanbase. Also are they still the team nobody wants to play?

Allen came into the leauge with Zay Jones as his number 1 target and overrated Charles Clay as his TE. He didn't get to throw to Diggs until 2020 and yet put up remarkable numbers his 2nd season as a starter with John friggen Brown as his #1 target.
Just putting your #1 point into a more proper perspective.
Carry on!

Was Zay Jones the reason that Allen was wildly inaccurate his first couple years?

Remarkable numbers his second year? Which numbers were remarkable?

Hey, you're right. Know why that is? Because we don't give a shit about your team. Your team doesn't matter, and if KC plays well, they'll beat them. If kC doesn't play well, yeah, your team might get them. But I wouldn't count on that happening in the playoffs.

Last time, it took 13 seconds to rip your heart out.

They lose ONE GAME, and now all of a sudden they’re shit?

Of course they're not shit, and I don't think anyone actually thinks that.

They'd been much better off if they shit canned the entire defensive staff, McDermott included, after 13 seconds and promoted Daboll.

Why in the world would you switch up the offensive coaching staff when you have a young, elite QB and it's working?

Yep. You've convinced me.

No argument there.

Id pick Mahomes #1 in league redraft and Allen #2.

But comparing from the beginning isn’t going to work, because Allen admittedly sucked his rookie year.

But what about lately?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">NFL&#39;s top young QB&#39;s over last 40 games:<br><br>Allen: 12,475 yards, 105 TD&#39;s, 32 INT<br>Mahomes: 13,213 yards, 100 TD&#39;s, 29 INT<br>Burrow: 11,184 yards, 88 TD&#39;s, 29 INT<br>Murray: 11,786 yards, 83 TD&#39;s, 29 INT<br>Jackson: 10,417 yards, 71 TD&#39;s, 29 INT<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Bills?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Bills</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Bengals?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Bengals</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Cardinals?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Cardinals</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Ravens?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Ravens</a> <a href="https://t.co/8sOWGG5LP9">pic.twitter.com/8sOWGG5LP9</a></p>&mdash; Bills Stats &amp; More (@Tickets_Buffalo) <a href="https://twitter.com/Tickets_Buffalo/status/1605026050844807168?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 20, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Why cut it off at 40 games, and does that include postseason?

Even during that cherry-picked timeframe, which includes Mahomes' weakest year and Allen's best years, Mahomes' numbers are still better. But the biggest difference recently has been fumbles. Mahomes almost never coughs it up and Allen is a fumble machine. Allen has twice as many fumbles, not including his rookie year.

Aside from that stretch in '21, which included a lot of bad luck and tipped/bobbled balls, Mahomes has been one of the least mistake-prone QBs ever. Meanwhile, Allen has been one of the most turnover-prone QBs in the league.

That said, I wasn't really making a stats-based argument.

How do those odds support the idea that they've improved? They had the highest odds last year and were favored in every single game.

Dude just won a SB playing on one leg throughout the entire playoffs. Won the AFCC (over the team that blew out the Bills in Buffalo) down 4 of his top 5 WRs, from a WR corps that wasn't that good to begin with.

Allen had a much better defense, one of the best WRs in the game, another really good WR, and one of the top TEs in the league.

Allen’s biggest and most glaring weakness is that he is clueless when it comes to making quick decisions and just getting it out fast. His short quick game just isn’t there and isn’t only because he always wants the big play. It’s because he can’t diagnose the defense fast enough or make accurate enough short and quick throws.

Yeah, last year I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe I had blinders on for picking up on the trend of stupid shit he was doing (granted, some of it was pretty ****ing stupid)... and then they almost lost to 4th string QB equipped with one of the most incompetent coaching efforts I've ever seen before completely shitting the bed at home.

Doo doo me trousers and let's do this!!

It's the same BS argument Patriots fans have been making for years. They don't like it that Mahomes is a better QB than their beloved TB.

And everyone said the Chiefs would take a step back last year because they lost Tyreek. Many even suggested they would either be a wildcard or not even make the playoffs. Yet Mahomes willed that team to a SB victory on a bum ankle. That is the difference.

Also, Mahomes played well from the very get go. His first game ever came at the end of the 2017 season (his rookie year) at Denver. He was playing with a bunch of backups but looked great.
