Probably closer to a a Colorado Rockies situation where a fan was accused of yelling the N-word, everyone overreacted and it was ultimately concluded that he was actually yelling at their mascot Dinger for a photo op.

Cheffers, N-word, I could see that getting misheard. At least I hope that’s what happened.
