Both I think.

Dude has put on a master class of betting on yourself and managing co tract negotiations.

Washington Franchised him when there probably wasn’t a ton of interest in him. Played well. Bet on himself that stuff. Then Washington did it again played well got some interest. Washington knew they were ****ed, cousins told them to lick his ass. Took less overall money for fully guaranteed money when the Vikes weren’t very good and could easily put the blame on him and shitcan him. Now he’s built up enough of a reputation to get a big contract.

Masterclass.

and the Vikes have signed Sam Darnold.

Time to pick up JJ.

In fairness about 10 years ago we would probably do the same thing. Hopefully we learned our lesson.

How do you not go with a rookie?

Don't soil Cousins name like that. He's way better than Cassel. He's more like Alex Smith.

For perspective.......

Joe Namath became the highest-paid player in the history of the NFL with the 1975 contract he signed with the New York Jets. Under this contract, he would get paid $900,000 over two years, with a salary amount of $425,000 per year, according to The New York Times.

Cousins will throw for thirty five touchdowns a year and 4500 yards (with six picks). He's Drew Bree's-lite. GTFO with the Alex Smith nonsense. Cousins name gets sullied because he likes to pad his stats and had made questionable decisions late in playoff games and has earned half a billion dollars in guaranteed cash. But he's won playoff games against Drew Bree's and had big games in the playoffs too. He's not Lamar Jackson. He's got a 93 rating and threw for five touchdowns and one interception in the playoffs.

Um, not to burst your bubble, because you're on a roll, kind of like when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, but you should google Cousins' playoff record.
