Ok, that finale was awesome.

Still can’t understand the need for basically an entire episode on croissant. What a waste. The finale was good though.

I liked the episode.

I can't really say why I like the story, but I'm here for it. I can't really point out what works for me, but I really like it. It all worked for me.

It certainly isn't perfect, but it works for me. And I found the end tremendously satisfying.

And I did laugh at the mouse droid stuff, especially the one that lemminged his ass off the edge.

Can't wait for the next season. I love this shit.

That was brilliantly set up by R5 peering over the edge and warbling. LMAO

And also 30 years of Star Wars computer games.

Apparently they are filming S4 soon. The dork videos I watch seem to think all these Mando-era series (Fett, Mando, Ahsoka, and apparently Skeleton Crew (?)) are supposed to end with some movie or some shit. I don't know. We'll see what gets made, but apparently S4 is on the way.

Yes, they've announced that all of the Disney+ Star Wars shows (aside from Andor) will culminate in a movie.

I enjoyed the episode. Nicely done. There were a lot of really cool visual elements and some compelling dramatic moments along the way. It was a fun ride and I'm looking forward to the next season. I'd like them to move Grogu's force/combat powers along more quickly; his save was a really nice touch but at least get him a weapon or something.

Couple things. It's been out 2 days, surely we can dispense spoilers, right?

1. Gideon put motors in his suit, like Iron man. You could hear the motors whirring when he moved. That's why it was broken so easily.

2. I think it is an opportunity to rebuild Mandalor the way it should be, not the way it was. Everybody that's tried to lead by getting the Dark Sabre has ended in ruin for Mandalor. Let's do something else. I think that is the main takeaway.

3. Got this from a dork video, so take it for what it's worth. Dark Sabre has always been associated with war. Mandalorians need to focus on peace (see commentary in the underground garden where the native plants hadn't been able to grow since some civil war). Maybe Mando v2 focuses on using Beskar to make weapons of defense and growth rather than destruction and death.

Also they talked about the Dark Sabre being ****ed up, at least compared to the Jedi sabres. Maybe breaking that piece of broken will help fix what is broken in the Mandalorian Society.

I dunno, interesting shit to think about from a pretty basic (but awesome - **** off I was all about it) battle.

"And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more..."

Interesting and probably pretty poignant perspective on the Dark Saber.

I mean...I just went with point 1 - dude was Iron Man.

Point 3 was better.

Yeah I didn't enjoy this season as much as those past seasons.

Ended better than it started, and the middle was really bad. Hope the next season is better overall.

Finally watched the last episode. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Going to kind of suck now that this and Picard are over. :sulk:

I started rewatching Battlestar Galactica before this, Picard, and Last of Us took over my attention. I'm going to go back to it. A few episodes in, and it holds up better than any 20 year old TV show has a right to.

Katee Sackhoff has held up pretty well, too. :D

Looked like Dave Filoni didn't bother to stop by wardrobe.

Has she always had those child-bearin' hips?

Because damn - she fills out that weird uniform thing awfully well...

I still don't think she's facially terribly attractive, but that figure is awfully nice...

She's definitely not your typical Hollywood babe type, but I think a lot of that is based on her almost exclusively playing tomboy roles. She's about as far removed from a damsel in distress as you can get.

She does clean up nice, though.

Yeah. Her face was nicer when she was younger, but I think she looks fantastic.

And those hips were there at least back to Longmire.

Watch that YouTube video of the spartan race training. That probably endeared her to me as much as anything her body ever did.

Episode 7 last year was the Bill Burr cameo. They ran the fuel. One of the best acted scenes in the whole series occurs. This year we get Lizzo and Jack Black.

I seen her in a short interview clip a week or two ago and I gotta tell you she looked like the Joker. I mean almost hideous, cheeks drawn in, a smile that was way too wide/long, eyes sunken a bit. It was shocking.

She looked kind of like this:

I think the point is that she CAN look like that if she wants to.

But I get the feeling that she just doesn't give a shit.

She used to look like that. Nowadays she's an older version of Skeletor Jessica Simpsom.

My wife and I watched the Jack Black episode last night; first I want to say that I really enjoyed the Christopher Lloyd cameo, laughed when I saw him, but Lizzo is not an actress, and the whole episode came off as a new age Scooby Doo episode. All they were missing was if Christopher Lloyd was being dragged away by guards saying, "I would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you darned Mandalorians and Baby Yodas!" So many poor filler episodes this season, but I was really hoping that Lloyd would've said the word Gigiwatts during his robot explanations, something to tie it all in.

BigBeauford 04-25-2023 10:04 AM

Well that was a season. Mostly sucked.

Woof

Maybe next season they’ll have Grogu strapped to a Wookies ammo belt like The Hangover baby and ****ing shit up

Makes sense. She is out of everything. Sitting all day on a throne, ruling no one. Why would she immediately get gung ho about rescuing Din if it wasn't for personal feelings toward him?
