Be the gosh damn antethesis of the Packers. Make moves other franchises are too afraid to make and too busy worrying about building for the "future".

He doesn’t know the offense, his salary is cap prohibitive, he’s coming off an injured plagued season, we need to find out what we have in Hardman and Powell, he would prohibit the Chiefs from signing a vet DE and Breland, and we’d be giving up valuable draft capital for a #3 passing option.

You Julio-baters are just the worst.

Julio would have a bigger impact than Breeland + whatever we sign at DE.

He's still capable of being a top 10 receiving threat.

They are now. Juiio's going to keep having hamstring problems this late in his career.

We'd get a handful of 100% games out of him. Perhaps even most of the games. And maybe some or all of those games in the playoffs.

The risk isn't worth it. You can roll the dice and take risks, but Julio Jones isn't the kind of risk smart teams take.

Multiple teams have expressed interest in signing free-agent LB Shaquem Griffin, who could transition to full-time pass rusher, per sources. Always overcoming the odds, Griffin has played in 46 games over three seasons in Seattle. Should have a home soon.

Anybody interested? Let the jokes begin!!!!

I don’t give a shit about Julio Jones. We need a pass rusher and corner

In58men 05-10-2021 08:03 AM

Over the weekend some #Chiefs players reached out to free agent WR Dede Westbrook to engage his interest in coming to Kansas City. Meanwhile, both the #Vikings & the #Bengals have had preliminary conversations with Westbrook as well. Westbrook was a 2016 Biletnikoff award winner.

Yup. Wanted the guy back in March. Just didn’t think they’d do it since they like Robinson, got Callaway and drafted Powell.

Would love it if he came here though. He’s basically another Hardman. MOAR speed!

louie aguiar 05-10-2021 08:24 AM

I’d love to have Westbrook if they feel he’d be healthy coming off the acl. It doesn’t cost the draft picks that Julio would.

The Franchise 05-10-2021 08:32 AM

Keeping 6 WRs.

Hill
Westbrook
Hardman
Robinson
Pringle
Powell

Dunerdr 05-10-2021 08:34 AM

Hes a small guy with 4.3 speed. IMO he'd be great in the slot if you could ever get Hardman to function outside.

I guess he’s slight of build, but he is listed as 6’. Seems comparable in size to Devonta Smith. Between him and Hardman not sure who plays outside or in the slot but you’d have options.

I was thinking he was 5'9" when he was at OU but im likely mistaken.

If that.

I mean, Veach said he'd be ready to "participate" in August camp, but that could have meant working out and he didn't say FULL participation.

Seems like the Colts are kind of working on hope here.

$9MM for a "maybe" time frame, and a "maybe" on his ability to be what he was before the injury, seems like a lot of money to me.

I like Westbrook as a fit in KC if the price is low and doesn't preclude a move at CB and DE.

He'd give them insurance at KR and WR. Good speed, some size. Had decent Years 2 and 3 in Jacksonville.

Wouldn't move the needle as much for me as brining back Breeland and signing Melvin INgram/Justin Houston/Ryan Kerrigan/etc.

Eric Fisher at his absolute best was a player I wanted to see us replace and upgrade. He’s going to be worse than that, not better.

Assuming the Chiefs had an injury or just need an effective cheap X receiver, I think Alshon Jeffrey would be an ideal choice. Played with Pederson so he would know Andy’s system quickly.

Again just a backup option

You don’t have much on the market if you have injuries. Guys like Jeffrey is about the best that’s available during the season.

It does suck that if Tyreek had to miss time the WR’s after him are full of question marks.

We definitely need to draft a WR early next year even if Powell excels this season

If Pringle played football at Butt**** State instead of Kansas State, people would see him for who his is: Not even a JAG.

I know it’s more complicated than just sign X Y and Z but I think if we could net Ingram, Dede Westbrook, and Breeland by camp.... you just kick your feet up and let it ride. That would be a fully loaded roster.

Houston is fine too, I just don’t believe that happens.

I just saw a list of Chiefs free agents. It was longer than I had realized. I completely forgot about LeVeon Bell hasn't had any takers yet. I know that he didn't get much playing time here. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him back cheap as depth. KC will never be allowed to hold for him to run like Pittsburgh did but our revamped line shouldn't have to. I would like to see what he has left behind this line. I won't hold anything against him with what he was asked to run behind last year.

I wonder what the deal is with Justin. Veach essentially saw him as a guy that needed to go and spend 2 premium picks snd a mega contract to replace him.

Ballard flat out said they won’t have Justin back.

He left Baltimore without a deal.

I was a defender of Houston through his injuries with KC. Now that he's not here, of course, I don't really give a shit about him, but at the time I don't think money changed him or how much effort he was willing to put onto the field. His problem was he and Berry both thought they were sticking up for players against the NFL fat cats by gouging the Chiefs with their respective contracts (Houston moreso when we asked him to restructure/pay cut and he refused). That's different from getting paid everything you possibly can in your NFL career, because now you're associating it with some kind of noble gesture or service that you're performing for others around you.

It was an idiotic mentality he and Berry both had, and it's one nobody ain't got time for, especially us.
