I wish Veach vould sign him for less than 20M but I know it is not happening.

I wouldn't mind a trade either if the price is right.

I still have in mind those Houston and Berry contracts which I never liked to begin with.

This either means some big news is coming soon (like in the next 24 hours)! Or it’s a PR move to try and get public sentiment behind him to ‘pressure’ Hunt and Veach to meet his contract demands to keep him.

In an interview (before lockdown) Chris said that the franchise tag has 2 ways it plays out.

1) the team signs the player to a long term deal.

2) the team trades the player to a team that gives him a long term deal

He never even acknowledges playing on the tag as an option. His recent tweet re-enforces that stance.
