If you look at what Buffalo needed they needed a vertical attacker to pull coverage downfield.

The top guy to do that would be Brian Thomas Jr but they didn't go get him.

So who is left that could fill that role?

Xavier Worthy actually would fit what the scheme needed. So would AD Mitchell.

But instead Buffalo trades down and then takes a potential possession 1 WR who needs time?

WTF are they doing over there.

Remember that there were 6 QBs taken in the first 12 picks and that pushed many players down from where they might otherwise have been taken. That made for a fat bunch of talent available early, almost as if the teams had moved up in the draft.

Just because Buffalo didn't trade up, that doesn't mean they weren't trying. I'm sure they identified Thomas as the guy they wanted, but a lot of other teams did the same thing. Thomas went at #23 to the Jaguars and I'll bet they were very happy. I'll also bet that they were demanding a high price to make any trade, so it might just have been too much for the Bills to pay.

Bills have no skill players that are deep threats. Joe Brady might want to run a ball control offense, but defenses have little reason to sit back in deep zones and let it happen. Beane can talk about transition years, but his screw ups are the reason their cap was in such a bad shape.

Might not be good for Allen’s health.

When he takes off, he can expect more defenders around to stop him. That equals more hits.

It won’t be as easy to make it to the secondary with at full speed.

Seemed pretty odd for sure.

Though still not as bizarre as what ATL did in the draft. First Penix, when they already signed Cousins to a $100 million deal, without talking to Kirk first, then their biggest need was apparently DB, and they didn't take even one?

Sure were some strange things going on in this draft.

Correct.

DC's will walk up and run blitz them.

Josh is gonna have to do what Patrick has done two years in a row. Without a Kelce. Or a Reid. LMAO

The picks are gonna fly. Let it fly! LMAO

Shitkur and Curtis Samuel ROFL Buffalo actuallyhas worse receiving targets than KC had...Josh is going to play hero ball and get hurt you watch.

Bl00dyBizkitz 04-28-2024 05:39 PM

Shakir and Kincaid are perfectly fine. But a project at WR and a lackluster draft otherwise doesn't put these guys in a good spot.

The game and player of the week awards they covet like Lombardis are in serious danger

Allen not playing with a commanding lead most of the season. Will either make or break him

It’s what they did when Brady became coordinator. Run heavy offense and their offense was better.

Allen is no Mahomes

I'll say this, if they just take Mitchell, it's not a bad move at all for Buffalo. I could see that working out for us and them.

Or, Coleman becomes an absolute star (I love his potential and would not have been too disappointed if we drafted him) and they can't exercise the 5th year option, and he either leaves or costs them a huge percentage of their cap.

The fact that they couldn't afford to pay a rookie salary, so they traded out of the first round should have consequences.

Will Worthy be wide right

No. Worthy will be wide open and their slow ass WR Coleman wouldn't get separation from Nnadi.
