I didn't like Ned much, but I'd take him 10 out of 10 times over Matheny.

No one thinks Ned Yost (who was a competent manager in KC who excelled at the personal side of things but was shaky tactically) would turn this into a playoff contender.

I think they'd be BETTER with Yost, as long as that means a more competent coaching staff, too. Yost + Eiland + Sveum would be worth a few more wins on the average, I think.

Anyone catch Petro today? I heard it was a doozy about our locker room right now. I wasn't sure if there was anything new in there or if he was just piggybacking off of Flanny (with your typical KC talk jock hypotheticals thrown in).

This team went to 2 and won 1 World Series in spite of both Yost and Moore. Moore lucked into H-D-H and that's plain and simple. His pitching drafts, signings, trades, etc. have been complete and total ass.

And I say this as I watch the leadoff walk score.

He did good with Hos and Moose, etc. but let's face it, if it was not for that Pen and particularly Davis, we don't win a World Series or even go to one.

And I have to agree that the 2014/15 Royals were a perfect storm that isn't likely to happen again. Escobar, Cain, Moose, Hosmer, HDH and some good starting pitching with some luck that they never ran into the Yankees or Red Sox in the playoffs.

They are just disappointing now. Back to their 1990-2010 form. Are they going to lose 110 games?

At this rate 110 might be a bit much but not out of the question. This is definitely a 100+ loss team.
