Wolves putting on a defensive masterclass. My god. AE is a killer on both ends too. They’re making the Nuggets look like a D-II team out there
|
Are we still sure the Wolves can't hang with the Nuggets? LMAO

Keep up this pressure through the 3rd. I want to see the Luka Garza and Josh Minott Show! LMAO

Jokic playing the ole defense
|
Jokic is still hung over from watching ponies at the derby

Maybe they can thrive without Rudy. But as long as Minnesota bigs can't keep out of foul trouble you need all the depth you can get

So obviously the Wolves greatly benefitted from trading away Deangelo because they got old man Conley, but the really funny part is that Alexander-Walker was basically a throw-in player to the deal, and he alone might be worth the trade
He's playing incredible off the bench |
Ant with the incredible shot vs two defenders.

And every team always gets better trading Russell away. The guy is as useless as it gets when it really matters. Somehow the Lakers didn’t figure that out after last season. |

I'm not sure Monte Morris could be more useless. WTF is he supposed to offer, other than not drawing rim on wide-open 3s?

Only 22 pts down now.

Amazing what a difference a year makes. Last year Denver were media darlings since jokic is fun to watch. But Murray's a little bitch and porters family is an embarassment
|
What is it with Denver and reerun chants?
The Broncos have IN-COM-PLETE and the Nuggets have TURNOVER |

Minnesota appears to be acknowledging his suckage by not giving him minutes. However, when he DOES go in, he actively hurts the team. Is there literally nobody else available? |
Jamal is 3 for 17 in this game, the TWolves are gonna want him playing in game 3

Yeah, I underestimated these Wolves.
Those mother****ers are savage. Spreading hate and discontent. Credit to them. They played some amazing ball tonight. |
Somebody is going to have to explain to me how/why the Pacers were called for a "kicked ball" that CLEARLY wasn't a kicked ball. I get that the NBA wants the Knicks to advance (see: Game 2 vs. Philly), but THAT was blatant.
That, and the illegal screen nonsense, changed the game. |

Here is the slowed down version. Not sure why the other 2 refs couldn't see this. The rule is you can't challenge a kicked ball.

The atmosphere for Game 3 in Minnesota is going to be insane.
I’ll be shocked if the Nuggets come out of that game with a win. |

Wolves are very impressive but they're kind of ****ed when the NBA inevitably decides to steer the more lucrative series into extra games with the way they play defense.

Who we got fellas? Thunder or Mavs?
Should be a good series |

I get that but they wanted to take the best "college player". Even Shaq said CL was a better college player. It just didn't translate to the NBA. |

I wasnt crazy about the Mavs. But a credit to kyrie, he seems to have accepted a role as Lukas side piece. It was clunky when they played like two aces. Kyrie seems to be ok with turning on the jets when they need Luka less and it seems to be working.
Luka is incredible. At times the dude looks as fast as a middle aged man but he is just impossible to guard. |

Its going to be fun watching Luka guard anyone on the Thunder. Good luck buddy |

I don't know that I've watched an entire Mavs game before but god damn is Luka slow. I knew he was slow but not that slow.
Why would you want to watch him play when you could watch Ant or someone like that? |

I would say what they are doing has been an awful plan so doing anything is better than doing nothing. |

I do think 7 is too many. 5 is the sweet spot probably. But Im not going to complain. I love that the best team almost always wins.
|
Quote:
That's the fixable part. The other part of the blowout issue is teams are just chucking up 3s though I don't know how you stop that |
Quote:
It means immediately getting to good teams against good teams. And watching superstars who are a little fresh instead of limping around by the second quarter |
Knicks/Pacers game was interesting to say the least in the last few minutes last night. I only caught the last 5 minutes, but what a crazy 5 minutes. Can't believe this thread didn't have several pages added last night during the live action.

I like the current playoff format though especially the play in games. To add some intrigue they could make the first round a single elimination game now that would be fun. |
How do the knicks win every single close game?

Brunson is a dog but Tibs going to grind them into the ground I think Hart has played every minute in both games this series |

Hope is that the game also evolves to less three pointers but feel like that won't happen anytime soon. In any event it's disturbing to me to see teams pull starters in a playoff game. I get that being down 22 with 6 minutes left is bad, but man I dunno.... |
Quote:

Sometimes you have coaches who are too rigid. Carlisle seems way too locked in on rotations instead of sticking with their hot hand. pacers bench players are outplaying several of their starters

Former Mizzou player gets 30 months in prison for defrauding, or attempting to defraud the NBA Healthcare insurance system. Or something like that. Keyon Dooling got 30 months in real prison.
Big Baby Davis got 40 months. Prison has to suck, but knowing that you were a baller, and you are rich, it has to suck even more. Like, yeah, they can buy protection, etc. or keep their commissary full, but going from living the NBA lifestyle, and being free, to being locked in a cage for for a couple of years, would be sickening. Edit: Real criminals may not have anything on the outside waiting for them, so it makes being inside easier. But, if you knew you had a big house, nice cars, nice clothes, maybe even a personal chef, and probably a smoking hot trophy wife, etc., being locked up might be unbearable. If this was China he could just pay someone to do his time. |

Some pretty ****ed up stuff in his childhood, had a nervous breakdown while playing for the Celtics. And man, 30 months in the federal 'pen when we have dudes out there robbing, stealing and shooting at each other and not getting prosecuted at the state level is just damn odd. Feel a little bad for him - he's probably never going to be fully 'right' in the head. |
Man, these playoffs have been fun. The league is really good right now.
