I wonder who is at the other corner spot on the 1's this morning along with Breeland? Ward is not practicing. Anyone know why? Is it Fuller or Miller? It about has to be one of those two.

Using him as a rental remains a pretty awful idea. |

Personnally, as much as I would love that Veach trades for a decent CB, I don't want no part of Josh Norman.
|
Norman is also a bit of a basket case. No thanks.

In 2015 he was excellent. He hasn't been a truly good player any other season of his career. And he was 25 as a rookie so he's coming into his age 32 season. The dirty little secret about Norman is that his 'bad season' last year wasn't all that much worse than any other year of his career apart from that one outlier season in 2015. He was almost exactly the same player in '18 that he was in '14, '16 and '17. He was so bad in '12 and '13 he barely even played. And he'll be a virtually identical player this year. The player you get next season won't be any better than Claiborne, IMO. He just isn't a very good football player. He's a very average football player who had a career year at the right time, got himself paid and then went back to being an extremely average football player. The Josh Norman fascination is bizarre and I'm betting that he ends up getting cut and signing for a fraction of what people are saying the Chiefs should take on. I was thinking around $5 million but man, I don't think he's any better than Breeland and isn't Breeland's max around $3 million if all incentives are reached? That's Claiborne's max as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut and ends up taking a $3 million deal or so. Dude's old and he was never great to begin with. That is a flash over substance move and there's no reason to make it at all. Norman may not make this team better at all. |
Miller with Claiborne on the second team in 7-on-7 drill.
Is Fuller now on the outside with the 1's? |
Breeland with another pick off of Mahomes. That is 2 today

Here's something that is good to see...
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Ragland looks noticeably quicker out there so far this year. This play in particular shows some of the speed he's gained back in 2019, having to cover a 4.47 WR in the flat on a play designed to get him free. Takes away the flat and allows Tanoh to force a throwaway. <a href="https://t.co/ajuOKeJmTY">pic.twitter.com/ajuOKeJmTY</a></p>— Craig Stout (@barleyhop) <a href="https://twitter.com/barleyhop/status/1160636239537721347?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 11, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Guessing no one noticed that Ragland actually showed the athletic ability to run with a WR. |
