Chargers are the best job imo

We'll see if they get rid of Lynn. He's well-liked there.

This! I think Atlanta is right for him. They will have a somewhat offense for him to work with and a mediocre defense. With the RIGHT draft picks and free agency, it could actually work. Brees is on the short end of his career and Brady has shown nothing. Could be interesting.

I wouldn't want to be a first time HC in the same division as Reid/Veach/Mahomes...that would a hard pass. How many coaches came and went in the AFCE....

I do think Bieniemy's hard-nose attitude would fix a lot of the Chargers late-game collapses though...McCoy wasn't even dressed for the SB.

No joke. Bills 10, Dolphins 10, Jets 6.

They showed it during the game the other night.

I’m still leaning EB goes back to Cincy (player there). I’m not convinced they’re sold on Taylor and he really hasn’t shown much to support he deserves a long leash there. Don’t see how Cincy doesn’t see the upgrade that move presents, and I think they have the QB/young talent that would attract EB to want to go there.

No way. They're not splitting with Taylor this soon and I'm not sure there's any evidence to suggest EB is a clear upgrade anyway. There's no way you can say that about a guy that's never been a head coach before - he's an unknown, regardless of his pedigree.

You’re higher on him than I am, I don’t see much argument for him personally outside of “he hasn’t had enough time”. They aren’t overachieving, Burrow isn’t setting the league on fire, and there isn’t much that I’ve seen that would indicate they found “their guy”. He was hired strictly due to having shared a room with Sean Mcvay, I think he’s in over his head. There’s enough talent on that team to do something similar to what Miami is doing but they just aren’t there yet and i think it’s due to the HC more than anything, we’ll see if ownership feels the same way.

EB is definitely an unknown but from a brand new HC perspective, you really couldn’t carve up a better pedigree for a first timer outside of maybe younger.

Miami is SIGNIFICANTLY better in the trenches than Cincinnati. The Bengal's offensive line is arguably the worst in the league.

Miami is also getting Houston's 1/2 round picks next draft....which may be in the top 10.

They hit on those picks and Tua pans out...they are going to turn things around pretty quickly with a cheap QB for the next 4 years...and no state tax.

Their coach seems to have his shit together too...

The irony is when they start using the paper bag rule to see who qualifies.

After seeing this I'm wondering if he's ever going to get the chance.

Like the "Grizz" said, Vance Joseph was part of what went on at CU back then and he's been a head coach.

Anybody else think giving up EB for a 3rd pick is a great deal for the Chiefs ?

I'm of the opinion that EB is really no different than Nagy or Pederson, and Kafka will be just as good. Same as coaches leaving the Belichick coaching tree, the true genius is the man at the top.

MahomesMagic 12-02-2020 09:18 AM

If Pederson gets fired by the Eagles I wouldn't mind bringing him back as a spread coordinator. Give Kafka the OC and let Pederson be another guy to work on the concepts.

Reid is the genius but it helps to have more smart people in the room bouncing ideas off each other.

I'd still prefer to keep EB, I think he's a quality coach. Of course, it may be around the time one of the other coaches that was hired away gets fired and can come back.

I tend to agree.
