CP ring of honor member. RIP Milkman.

Zebedee DuBois 09-11-2020 08:24 AM

He was a good guy.
I believe he was the first to welcome me to this site.
I hate cancer on behalf of several friends/family and now for Milkman.
I'm glad he got to see the Chiefs win the big one.

tatorhog 09-11-2020 08:44 AM

Wow, sad news.

I never had much direct interaction with him but I genuinely enjoyed his takes. He knew what he was talking about, and i loved his Red Foreman 'dumbass' thing. I had wondered why he hadn't been on in a while.

He will be missed. He was one of the greats on here. RIP

Old Dog 09-11-2020 08:46 AM

Really enjoyed Milk's takes; he knew his stuff. RIP, my man.

gblowfish 09-11-2020 08:59 AM

I'm very sad to see this. I lost one of my best friends to brain cancer a few years back. It seems to attack really smart people for some reason. Milk gave me endless smack when I was a nOOb. But he knew his stuff. I'll miss him very much. Here's my salute to Milkman:

you are missed.:(

Gadzooks 09-11-2020 09:25 AM

I've had the honor of being called a "dumbass" by Milkman during our Chargers/Chiefs trash talk sessions. He was prickly, but, positive rep let me know it was all in good fun.
He was a great character on this board - RIP.

Johnny Vegas 09-11-2020 09:31 AM

Daaaaaaaaamn thats just terrible. He was a hell of a character and person. Definitely will be missed.

Perineum Ripper 09-11-2020 09:36 AM

That really ****ing sucks.

Is there anyway we can figure out a way to send flowers to his family or to wherever he is resting?

Damn, RIP Milkman.

luv 09-11-2020 10:16 AM

This literally brings me to tears. When I first really started learning about the game of football and would ask all of those annoying questions that a five year old boy normally asks, everyone on here either ignored me, called me names, or laughed....except him. Just like my dad in real life, he was like a dad to me on here in that he always, and I mean always, answered my questions. I have always remembered that and always held him in the highest regard, even when he was a bit crotchety. I've missed him on here recently, but I just figured that he was tired of the "dumbassery." This one hits so hard. RIP Milkman. I will miss you.

Well this is sad and shocking, wasn't aware he was ill.

But in the world of Dumbassery, I think we all were Dumbass's to the Master Dumbass at one time or another.

Going to miss ya buddy, RIP as pain is no more brother!

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-11-2020 11:02 AM

I will miss reading his posts about offensive line play, and him chastising the stupidity of the regimes during the dark times.

My favorite Milkman memory was his absolute excoriation of Laz. I don't remember the specific inciting incident, but of all the posts I've read over the years, it's the only one I ever read back to my wife. I literally laughed so hard I was in tears.

Vaya con dios, Mr. Flopnuts Sr.

Chief Northman 09-11-2020 11:10 AM

milkman brought the heat. He will truly be missed.

Godspeed Jeannie and family...

Mr_Tomahawk 09-11-2020 11:11 AM

They all hit hard, but this one....damn.

He was the only one who could call me "dumbass", and make me smile from it.

RIP Milk.

Buns 09-11-2020 11:23 AM

RIP. Hope he got to enjoy LIV.

Dante84 09-11-2020 11:26 AM

RIP Milkman!

burt 09-11-2020 11:40 AM

Ouch. How can I get so ripped up by the passing of a man I never met? Devastated.

:BLVD: to Milkman. Gone but never forgotten. Between him and Flop....it reminds us of the tightrope we all walk.

gblowfish 09-11-2020 11:43 AM

I agree we should rename the Lounge "Dumbass Lounge" for the rest of September.

LongSufferingToady 09-11-2020 11:45 AM

RIP Milkman. I enjoyed your posts.

Direckshun 09-11-2020 11:48 AM

I never had much of a connection with milkman but he was a great contributor for this forum. When we disagreed over Brandon Albert, for example, he was ultimately proven correct.

I'm sorry we've lost him. He was an abrasive poster by choice, maybe he needed to purge it out of himself to be such a lovely man to the OP in "real life."

He was an excellent football chatster. I'm glad to hear he was surrounded by loved ones in his final days.

Groves 09-11-2020 11:50 AM

The legends keep falling.

Someone check in on Bob Dole! (I suggest a private message.)

Crazy to think we've lost Flop and his dad in such a short period of time.

Another sad day with another loss of a great poster.

RIP Milkman.

Rasputin 09-11-2020 03:23 PM

His presence has been missed for several months I miss him and his takes and calling people dumbass was his trade mark.

Really should honor him the Dumbass lounge because we are all dumbasses.

Dammit hate to hear this I like his style and he had a wealth of knowledge about football and the Chiefs in general. Heck, the guy was 2 years younger than me. Don't remember if I ever got the dumbass treatment, if I did I took it in stride because I respected the man.

When the KC Star folded their forum I joined Chiefs Coalition and CP but I settled in with the coalition and mostly posted there till they folded in the night with no warning. Boss, do you remember Milkman's coalition ID name? I posted a lot there but can't seen to remember a milkman.

RIP Milkman prayers for the family in this sad time. Hope you were able to enjoy SB LIV and put in a good word to the man in the big hat up there for SB LV.

Yes, I remember you there and my ID was the same as here. I know CC has been back for a while with many of the same good folks. I just have a bad taste in my mouth for how it ended with no warning so I check in but don't post there anymore.

I’ve had enough of 2020.

Hello BossChief and fellow Chief fans
I guess you could say my name is MsRedeyes
But my name is Jeannie, I fell in love with just one look with MyJohnny in 1988. We had 32 fantastic years together enjoying our world by being with each other unfortunately year 33 was our last.
Sharing our lives had been almost always just the way we wanted, always so happy especially when we got to watch our Chiefs. I lost John Feb 22 when he lost his fight with Lung then Brain Stage 4 Cancer. I took care of him until the end. We were both so sure he would beat this and he was doing great until the doctors decided to speed up the winning he was having by changing his therapy to the strongest they had. At this point he had lost 40 lbs was down to 110 and weaker than he should of ever been when choosing such an aggressive choice of trying to kill a killer with another killer, my guy was gone in 2 weeks. I tuned into the game tonight and it has been wonderful to see them but it is so not the same without my Johnny. You guys were very important to him and I know he'll be at all the games. Looks like Clyde-? is going to be fun to watch! so we'll see you there or here.
Thanks for being here to share his happiest times with his Chiefs. He liked saying he was an "insert bad word" but he really was a Super Man and great super Fan. I hope I can stop in to say hi and get to feel the love again for this great team, and I know redeyes will be here.too. Jeannie redeyes

He was lucky to have you by his side until the end, Jeannie. Good luck to you and RIP Milkman.
