Steelers are irrelevant and Russ/Fields are both worthless so...

The Bears were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off on what they thought the return for Fields would be.

I don't think the chance is "zero" - but it does kinda make sense to say that to keep Russell focused. Then depending on his performance start working Fields in. I don't think Fields is as bad as some say - the Bears have been a dumpster fire with Coaching - I really feel like they weren't using Fields to his true potential

So Fields is probably there for just this year

Bears fans definitely never expected a 1 for Fields. A 2 was always the ceiling and a 3 was probably the modal outcome. Still a disappointment for them no doubt.

As of right now, seems like Wilson is pencilled in as the long term starter. Apparently they're already discussing numbers for an extension next off season, as ridiculous as that sounds. I honestly don't get why they traded for Fields if that's the case. Fields seems to have a pretty sizable contingent of players across the league that love him and Wilson, well, doesn't have that same luxury.
