considering Saints are SB contender and they just saw the Eagles win the Super Bowl with their backup and the Vikings make the NFC conference championship with their backup, this is a good investment.

No. If you wanted a good backup QB then they should have signed one. Handing out third round picks is stupid and will set you back in this league.
