Any chance of a trade for Williams?

He was an RFA last year and we out-bid other teams for his services THEN. He then proceeded to played poorly and now is in the more onerous of the 2 years of his deal.

I mean...it's possible, but seems damn unlikely. I mean if he can't beat out an undrafted journeyman who's played for 5 different organizations (Hamilton), what value can he possibly have?

I can't see getting as much as a conditional 7th for him. A team would rather he just get cut and try to pay him 1/2 what his contract calls for.

Dieter may got slotted on IR because he isn't practicing at all. It's that or he likely isn't making the team because there is to much talent on offense to justify keeping him.

Why do we talk about Dieter? The guy was on the bubble and hasn't practiced and has trouble even walking up the hill.

I actually think a 5th rounder last year for Snacks may have won the Chiefs a SB. His salary is a lot, but just having him on that team last year may have been enough to slow down the run.

Would've needed to give up more than a 5th given the likelihood that Detroits pick was simply more valuable than ours.

On the flipside, his salary would've been irrelevant this season as he'd have come without any guaranteed money and could've easily been cut if he didn't work out.

Yeah, not getting Harrison probably hurt. But so did not getting Boston or a slew of other potential contributors. Or firing Sutton.

There's no question that the team was just too focused on making what they had in-house work. They could've/should've been even more aggressive.

I dont' really understand the defensive thinking, but I atleast figure they felt that while Pat would be good, they wouldn't have THAT type of offense out the gate.

Because for some reason being friends with Mahomes makes him a lock for the team like Patrick is making roster decisions.

Conley's just too slow in and out of breaks. He's more of a strider.

It’s remarkable that in his few years as a Chief, with his athletic intangibles, I can’t remember him ever burning anyone. He’s a younger Jason Avant.

When you look at his actual athletic numbers, other than jumping high and running fast in a straight line, he wasn't overly dynamic.

IIRC, his 3 cone was not good.
