They term it a “generous” end to the show in terms of the time spent fleshing it out, giving all the major characters screen time, tying up loose ends, etc, and I think that’s well said.

I loved this ending the more I think about it.

That’s what I liked about it the most.

Checking in with Mike, Walter, and Jessie via flashbacks was the best kind of fan service.

Great point. Agree 100%

Now I think it's time to rewatch Breaking Bad, then Better Call Saul.

He'll be just fine there...and he's faced his demons. Kim knew it at the end thats what brought her back to see him the last time in jail. I thought this ended great as she walked away and he disappeared.

At least the guy finally has triples of the nova.

Holy shit, Saul's "flashbacks" were visits from 3 symbolic ghosts. Think "A Christmas Carol"

Mike in the desert
Walt in the basement of the vacuum place
Finally, his brother Chuck

Just watched a youtube video that pointed it out.

Doubt a lot of cons have sympathy for a DEA agent’s widow.

What does sympathy have to do with it?

I almost expected as Kim walked around the corner Jimmy would turn around to find a few dudes with shivs that just stab the shit out of him. The camera shows Jimmy bleeding out on the ground and we switch to Marie getting a phone call saying "It's done".

They aren't exactly deep in the criminal world, Walt could only pull it off because he ran into Todd along the way. They'd probably get arrested trying to hire someone.

TwistedChief 08-17-2022 07:10 PM

I felt like they tied that element up well. Most of us would've thought, "Oh, god - this guy is never gonna last in prison," but then you saw the bus scene where he was essentially a celebrity who likely spends time in prison offering free legal advice. He'd be protected.

They didn't want to leave it as a guy who was going to be stuck in prison for 80+ years fearing for his life.

The show did a good job of bringing back BB characters - Hank, Gomez, Marie, Euell, and a few lesser criminals going through Saul's office.
El Camino had Badger and Skinny Pete, Todd and Vacuum Cleaner Man.

It's like thumbing through an old HS yearbook.

Absent were Walt Jr, and the much maligned Skyler.

The only one missing was Bill Burr as Kuby.

I like how Saul trolled Bill Oakley so much throughout the show and then did it one last time at the end LMAO
