For this massive compensation package and a massive contract and still needing help at corner and elsewhere, now losing multiple picks... not sure I like it.

This offseason has been positive but Frank Clark might be a bridge too far

We have an interior push with Jones and Nnadi. You need an outside rush as well. Otherwise today's mobile-ish QB's will roll out.

Interior Push is great for fossils like Brady and Rivers.

Against non statues teams will expose your lack or outside rush with plays that attack the short perimeter.

You need both.

Guess what? Chiefs have both now.

Dline is done.

Now we can focus on the next two levels.

Cp: this first round is a butt****
Cp: why did we trade our first

This.

I’m not thrilled with the compensation, but it’s amazing how some are acting like it’s awful all around and we aren’t getting an elite 25 y/o pass rusher.

What the **** is Clark Hunt's deal anyway? Can he not find ANY balance in his CEO duties of this team? For years, it was nothing but choir boys and shit. Now, we're becoming the ****ing Wife Beater Brigade around here, and he's just sitting in his office, waiting for the next high dollar player to get yanked off the field and sent to ****ing Cleveland.

Seriously; what is WRONG with this guy?

Isn't Frank Clark on the last year of his contract?

17.8m base salary this year and is almost assuredly going to announce a new contract with him soon. So all the money we just cut is going to be added back again and in the same position.

Running in place.

Except that money is being added back for a younger, better player who isn’t a liability in one phase of the game. And who also is more consistent and healthy.

The real loss there is in this year’s first round pick.

100% this.

I like the upgrade from Ford quite a bit. He’s a more versatile player.

Just wish they could have gotten it done by making the compensation happen without the first-round pick.

The Franchise 04-23-2019 12:19 PM

Hopefully they front loaded some of it this year since we have a ton of cap space left.

Marcellus 04-23-2019 12:19 PM

I'm telling you fools, this defense is going to be top 10.

I do wonder if this means Hill is less likely to get paid after this season more than anything. He may have ****ed himself and they went defense with his $$.

You knew he was going to get a few more $’s than Lawrence.

tmax63 04-23-2019 12:19 PM

Can you imagine what Daly and Spags are going to do with Jones, Clark and Nnadi. I'd bet Daly had wet dreams of talent like this on the d-line when he was at NE and BB was giving him JAGs.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 04-23-2019 12:19 PM

Does this mean Hill is gone?

I'll be interested to see what Jones gets. That's going to be crazy having $200 million tied up on the defensive line.
