last night made me realize that this IS a Breaking Bad-esque show for SURE! YES! YES! YES! so flipping glad it's not some stupid comedy crap.

I think the driveway thing was about the phone call she asked about in the flashback. The scene where he told her what happened was instigated by the investigation, so it would be in the present.
