He played more right than left in college, but every single report I've read indicates that he has all of the physical attributes to be able to play on either side. "scheme transcendent talent' says Draftnetwork.

I'm not even really pushing to draft the kid, just sayin'.

Here's my run taking just the top player available on the board every single time and can't say I wouldn't mind it.

Tried the player rankings instead of the predictive draft. Top of the board went really weird. For the record I'd rather trade out of the first than take the TE there. Tried taking BPA rather than reaching for a need and this is what I got

31.
Kansas City Chiefs
Brevin Jordan
TE, Miami

63.
Kansas City Chiefs
Walker Little
OT, Stanford

94.
Kansas City Chiefs
Payton Turner
EDGE, Houston

136.
Kansas City Chiefs
Anthony Schwartz
WR, Auburn

144.
Kansas City Chiefs
Chris Evans
RB, Michigan

176.
Kansas City Chiefs
Monty Rice
LB, Georgia

180.
Kansas City Chiefs
Bryce Hargrove
IOL, Pittsburgh

252.
Kansas City Chiefs
Mac McCain III
CB, North Carolina A&T

Not that I have any control over it but I'd go off the deep end ranting about picking a TE in round 1. It's a ridiculous use of draft capital for a team that doesn't need a primary TE and doesn't operate enough out of 12 to warrant that type of investment.

duncan_idaho 02-25-2021 11:18 AM

I like Chris Evans a lot as a late-round RB target. Lot of upside there.

Yeah, Jordan that high would be tough to stomach (even Freiermuth would draw some questions). I love the rest of it, though.

KChiefs1 02-25-2021 11:27 AM

Did a lot of trade downs & came up with this:

51. Landon Dickerson
OL Alabama

63. Amon-Ra St. Brown
WR USC

94. Jabril Cox
LB LSU

124. James Wiggins
S Cincinnati

136. Walker Little
OT Stanford

144. Elerson Smith
Edge Northern Iowa

164. Josh Imatorbhebhe
WR Illinois

176. Naquan Jones
DT Michigan State

180. Shakur Brown
CB Michigan State

I agree that's why I said I'd trade out of the first before I picked TE there but I'm not paying the 10 bucks just for that lol. I'd really like another TE in the draft though

1st, Jalen Mayfield, Tackle Michigan

Don't expect him to make it to us, but if so, run in the card.

2nd, Chaz Surratt, Linebacker North Carolina

KC gets a 3 down LB and now Willie Gay becomes a weapon we can use to blitz or drop in coverage.

3rd, Seth Williams, WR Auburn

6'3'' WR that can go get the ball and just pops talent wise. Not everything is perfect but a guy this big should not be able to run some of the routes he does.

KChiefs1 02-25-2021 12:19 PM

31.Gregory Rousseau
EDGE, Miami

63. Amon-Ra St. Brown
WR, USC

94. Walker Little
OT, Stanford

136. James Wiggins
S, Cincinnati

144. Jack Anderson
IOL, Texas Tech

duncan_idaho 02-25-2021 12:43 PM

I just ran one on the draft network using their rankings board rather than predictive for the first time.

31. Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami
63. Javon Holland, S, Oregon
94. Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama (don’t like taking the injury concerns but the upside/value here is immense)
136. Austin Watkins, WR, UAB
144. Chris Evans, RB, Michigan
176. Josh Ball, OT, Marshall
180. Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas
224. Shi Smith, WR, South Carolina

I felt like that draft ran a little better on their site than using their predictive board.

I also would like this a lot for KC.

That looks very Veach-like, but I shouldn't have taken two EDGE guys with who we have now.

Those are depth guys and we need a lot of depth at DE.
