Well that looks bad.

SAUTO 07-16-2019 07:47 PM

Definitely. He's hurt

srvy 07-16-2019 07:50 PM

Collarbone?

limested 07-16-2019 07:51 PM

Looks like a sprained AC joint. They hurt like hell.

Maybe. He landed weird.

WhawhaWhat 07-16-2019 07:51 PM

If it's a collarbone then he might be done for the year.

Would that happen if his arm was shoved back into the joint?

srvy 07-16-2019 07:54 PM

Looked like the first thing the trainer looked at then walked him off holding his arm like a sling.

One of the most common ways to sprain AC is to land with arm outstretched like he did. I have torn mine and it is not a fun injury. Never had it repaired and my arm will ‘go dead’ on occasion because of it. Bad enough I can’t even lift a glass of water.

Yeah I was just reading that. Doesn't sound nice lol.

They were up and in on Soler in his last AB too. I wonder if that was intentional.

tk13 07-16-2019 08:40 PM

Looks like Sparkman might go back out for the 9th.

As far as I can tell, the last Royals pitcher to throw a CG shutout is Jason Vargas on June 2, 2017.

The last one before that was thrown by Johnny Cueto.

srvy 07-16-2019 08:50 PM

What a blast by Dozier.

kstater 07-16-2019 08:53 PM

Not sure what Soler was so pissed about there. Thought that was a pretty good pitch.

He was still pissed about the last AB where the third strike was outside.
