"Lot of picks"
Well that's scary. Is he suggesting we're giving more than two 1sts?

No, just one of the most annoying. Imagine a 14 year old posting on this site...that's what he was like.

The Fitzpatrick trade had lots of picks in it, it could be something like swapping mid round picks to make up some value.

RunKC 09-18-2019 01:05 PM

The one good thing about giving money to Jalen Ramsey instead of Chris Jones is that the highest paid corner gets $15 million AAV compared to Frank Clark’s $20.8 million AAV.

$5 million less per year. That would be the silver lining.

JakeF 09-18-2019 01:05 PM

So two 1st round picks + around a 50m guarantee/20m per yr contract?

Wow, that's a lot.

Really hurts the chances that Chris Jones and/or Sammy Watkins are chief next year.

Well, this will be easy to figure out. If they're working on a contract they've agreed to terms with Jacksonville and he won't play Thursday.

Fun Fact,

Since its week 3, when the Jags trade him they have to pay his salary this year. Unless we resign to new deal, now we could give him a contract and move signing bonus to later dates...

Back end his signing bonus to year 3-5

staylor26 09-18-2019 01:07 PM

Why are you guys acting like either of those tweets mean anything?

HingleMCringlebery 09-18-2019 01:07 PM

Says lots of picks in play. Doesn't state it's all Chiefs picks. We're probably sending them 3 picks for Ramsey and a pick. Or something like that

Mecca 09-18-2019 01:07 PM

Ramsey would make about 17 mill per and that would make him the highest paid CB, it's actually most cost effective to pay the secondary than the line.

Sassy Squatch 09-18-2019 01:08 PM

Can't wait to trade Chris Jones for a 2nd.

Yes and it's gotta be a large discussion going on w/Spags. How to adjust the defense to do man to man on one side and zone on the other.
