Is he being sandbagged? Seriously. Is he being groomed as a secret weapon?

Sassy Squatch 11-21-2021 08:48 PM

He and Mahomes just don't have chemistry right now. At all. Let's see if they can build a bit before we get into the playoffs.

Megatron96 11-21-2021 08:57 PM

Gordon has been targeted just 6 times in 2021. Just damned hard to know anything about Gordon as yet.

Molitoth 11-21-2021 09:00 PM

When you've dropped half your attempts you aren't going to get many looks.

I've wondered if he's dropped even more at practice.

KCJake 11-21-2021 09:13 PM

Maybe he’s getting baked as shit before the game. Idk. This guy was a dynamite playmaker a couple years ago

wachashi 11-21-2021 09:15 PM

He is blocking well, I assume? So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.

threebag 11-21-2021 09:41 PM

i want to see this Mother ****er go off

Hammock Parties 11-21-2021 09:43 PM

i will laugh like a hyena if gordon is the secret weapon to sweep the division the rest of the year but not expecting it

Deberg_1990 01-08-2022 06:36 PM

If this dude can’t make physical, contested catches, then why is he on this team filling space??

Good question- especially since that pass hit him in the chest. Worthless.

It really is amazing his talents haven't shown up here!

Easy 6 01-08-2022 06:59 PM

Its curtains for him, he's finished... todays drop was the last straw, hit him right in the numbers and he somehow pulled a special needs t-rex on it

Curé 01-08-2022 07:02 PM

what strains of weed is josh gordon currently smoking?

kcpasco 01-08-2022 07:03 PM

Dude is complete ass. He might as well smoke some blunts.

The odds are good that’s it’s a lot of different strains.

KCUnited 01-08-2022 07:09 PM

While watching our secondary get exposed to bigger receiver outside shoulder throws that seem like gimmes whenever they want, the fact that our one Fat Bear receiver can’t deliver on any type of catch is extra disappointing.

threebag 01-08-2022 07:10 PM

I still hoping he does some amazing shit in the playoffs. It’s hard to process the suck that’s been displayed on the field.

-King- 01-08-2022 07:13 PM

Should have cut him and gave OBJ whatever he wanted

So we can play Daurice Fountain? I say let him play out the year - maybe something happens in the playoffs. But it’s ridiculous to say get rid of him now.

Shut up, n00b

Mr. Wizard 01-08-2022 07:49 PM

Watch, we all think he is not working out and he balls out in the playoffs. Then what, does he stay or does he go.
I for one think Sorensen should run Gordon’s routes, at least we wouldn’t expect anything but failure.

Bump 01-08-2022 07:50 PM

does he even do anything? why he is taking up a roster spot?

HonestChieffan 01-08-2022 07:54 PM

Wasted roster spot

Chiefsallday 01-08-2022 07:54 PM

I haven’t gave up on him….when you least expect it. I called it today!!

Balto 01-08-2022 08:17 PM

Switch him to a DB….couldn’t hurt either side of the ball

Wisconsin_Chief 01-08-2022 08:17 PM

He is useless. End of story.

Red Dawg 01-08-2022 08:18 PM

There just is nothing there. He's done like a Turkey on Thanksgiving. B

Kman34 01-08-2022 08:19 PM

Yeah, he has bad hands. That's a horrible trait to have when you're a big, physical receiver.

It's not as big of a problem when you're standing wide open because you are so quick coming out of your routes, but when you're big/physical, you need good hands that can rip the ball out of the air.

He's basically just a body at this point.

ToxSocks 01-08-2022 09:00 PM

This experiment is officially over.

Hammock Parties 01-08-2022 09:01 PM

He should only get targets on jump balls in the end zone.

He is a total JAG.

When you have near a 50% drop rate you shouldn't even be stepping on the field.

ThyKingdomCome15 01-08-2022 09:04 PM

It was a very interesting idea but he's washed up.

BuckeyeTheDog 01-08-2022 09:18 PM

I think he should have a mysterious hamstring injury and let us pick up somebody- anybody on the playoff roster.

ChiefsFanatic 01-08-2022 09:19 PM

Who knew that getting high made it easier to catch a football.

Can someone please get this MF high before the playoff games?

Wait, at this rate, if he catches 2 passes in a game, he will definitely be tested for PEDs.

scho63 01-08-2022 09:34 PM

Low risk deal that didn't hurt.

He's done

Why Not? 01-08-2022 10:01 PM

Even Kelvin Benjamin thinks this dude sucks now

carcosa 01-08-2022 10:26 PM

He's dropping passes on purpose to throw everyone off the scent!!!! Super Bowl 20 catches 400 yards!!!!!

He hasn't made a tough catch all year and that's a damn shame 'cause he's had five or six opportunities to do so.

chiefforlife 01-09-2022 12:34 AM

I thought if he reached out and caught that ball with his hands, he makes the catch. Instead he waits for it to come into his body. An excellent throw wasted.

Use your hands man, thats how you make your money. At least box the CB out with your big body.

Well, to be fair, the ball was thrown a bit behind him, but he still should have caught it. Your right about the hands part.

bobhill 01-09-2022 02:47 AM

We need to flip him and Robinson, maybe even Pringle all 6he way up to hill

Nickhead 01-09-2022 04:17 AM

mark my words...

gordon is going to deliver in the playoffs :thumb:

ping2000 01-09-2022 05:05 AM

Well, at least other teams don't have any film on him catching passes. Ultimate Trojan horse.

He could have delivered yesterday and Patrick didn't see him. Dude was WIDE open for an easy TD.

There have been a few games he's been standing alone and Mahomes doesn't even look his way.

I will say this much. Mahomes missed him on a td. He was all alone behind the defense.

T-post Tom 01-09-2022 07:29 AM

Dude has struggled since college. He’ll be 31 in a few months. Chiefs gave him a chance. Didn’t work out. Nothing lost. Move on after the season is done.

Why should Mahomes trust him?

PAChiefsGuy 01-09-2022 07:40 AM

So overall 5 recs, 32 yds, 1 TD for Gordon in 9 games as a Chief this season.

Ouch

If Mahomes doesn't trust Gordon to catch a TD when he is wide open then Gordon shouldn't be on the field.

If he can't trust a guy who has no one standing within 20 yards of him - then just cut him now.

We're not talking a contested catch here. Dude is literally standing alone.

And let's be honest - it's not just Gordon. Mahomes has missed a LOT of wide open guys this year on his reads.

Exactly my point. Gordon is a waste of roster spot.

Gordon is a WR with no hands.
Peanut butter no jelly.
kool-aid no sugar.
Ham no burger.

In every NFL game by every HoF QB ever, wide open guys get missed.
It's just the nature of humans not being perfect.

I don't think Mahomes trusts Gordon, and I think that could be a problem in the playoffs if Gordon sees valueable time on the field.

Well if Mahomes doesn't trust him, that's something that Mahomes and Reid need to discuss in private. Hopefully they will.

Since college? On the field he’s been great, just not recently . I wouldn’t mind giving him a cheap flyer next year but letting him fight for a roster spot. The struggle with the hands just seems too uncharacteristic. But to his credit the guy is working hard on blocking and all the team stuff.

Think the lack of trust is the same we see with our receivers not named tyreek or kelce. Mahomes makes a lot of really good reads on where the WR should be and our WRs too often take the wrong path. Gordon’s done that on many of his targets this season. He just ends up in a different place than mahomes expects.

It’s just crazy that Mahomes may not trust a guy with more drops than catches

Chris Meck 01-09-2022 11:08 AM

PHOG 01-09-2022 11:27 AM

Well, we COULD let him show up for training camp next year, after going thru an offseason conditioning program, and let cards fall where they may. You just never know. Nothing to lose, if he's up for it.
