Houdashelt with the takedown. |
Woot!
|
Houdashelt won his match comfortably.
I have a question for the knowledgeable wrestling posters: It seems like Missouri is eking out of a bunch of close wins, and their dominant wrestlers are only barely winning point-wise, even thought they dominate most of the match. Do they normally wrestle a conservative style as a team? It seems like it cost them a lot of potential points. |
A kid from Minnesota, Dylan Ness, makes it all the way to the national semifinals, gets hurt, and has to forfeit. That's tragic.

All things being equal (and I'll say it again), riding time is a tragic part of this sport.
It promotes "non-wrestling", and there's little difference (to me) between gaining riding time and stalling. |

This kid from EDIN is amazing!

Mayes and Mellon were recently eliminated. Miklus is against the #3 seed in wrestlebacks shortly, then Cox faces the #4 seeded wrestler from Ohio State.

Wow, 13 gave 1 a hell of a run!

"When I said no to GT football"!!!! Lough out ****ING loud!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!

I know next to nothing about wrestling, but a ton of my close friends in HS were wrestlers. I have massive respect for the sacrifice and tenacity that the sport involves. If I had a boy, I'd definitely be proud to have him wrestle. It builds character in a way that other sports just narrativize about.

Cox is going now. If this were a random match, I'd assume Cox would win, but I'm worried that Mizzou will happen.
And just as I type that, Snyder gets a takedown on Cox. Just Mizzou. |
Shit!
|
Cox got the escape, and then after starting the second period on the bottom, got another escape to tie it up at two.
|
Cox needs to do more than this.. C'mon man!
