The paton plan sure does look a lot like the elway plan

If Rodgers and Hackett had an agreement that he'd follow him to Denver they wouldn't let that get out. The Packers have already let it be known that they suspect the 49ers and Broncos tampered with Rodgers last year. The Broncos have to play it cool. They don't want to relinquish any more picks to tampering charges, not after giving up a few picks to acquire Rodgers.

I love this clip! A few years ago I had a a habit of using it in response to dumb emails I would occasionally receive at work. After some discussions with our HR team, I have ceased to do this. However, I still play the clip in my head several times a week after reading emails. This apparently is not (as of yet) frowned upon.

Packers starting to get their cap under control with more moves coming.

Rodgers wants a team around him that can win a title. At the same time, he wants $50 million a year.

Those two things can't coexist.
