If he misses that we're trying a long field goal that could easily be missed giving the Raiders a short field. Even if we make it they get 2+ minutes to drive down the field for a game winning TD. And we all know how that goes these days. It would be a repeat of last year.

The earlier one where Kelce was ruled down by contact. That was 3rd and 10. Both plays setup eventual TD’s. Both plays were excellent stuff from Mahomes and Kelce in the scramble drill. Both were critical on 3rd down.

Mahomes doesn't give up on a throw when it's not wide open.

He wants to figure out a way to get it in there.

He figures that way out in fractions of a second. Lightning analysis and execution.
