Peri Peri Chicken and rice. You guys might need to google it since it's not a hotdog and mac n cheese.

The chicken melted in my mouth and it was hot AF but it was ohhh so good.

Basmati with diced onion, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, cumin and tumeric with tomato paste. The chicken marinade was Peri Peri sauce, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper.

I'm watching the 2021 Bengals reg season game right now on NFLN. ****ing Zayne Anderson cost us a Super Bowl. We win that game I bet we win in the AFCCG. And the Rams suck.

JFC Tyreek.

Of all the things that cost KC that game and you blame Zayne Anderson? Not saying he was good, but there was far more that cost KC that game than him.

And each one of them probably cost us the SB. But Zayne was first. Followed very shortly by Tyreek's attempt at catching the ball with his facemask.

True, but if KC’s SB chances were that dependent on the performance of Zayne Anderson then they didn’t deserve to go to the SB.

there are SB losses caused by a single player…

We would have won a SB if Montana doesn’t get a concussion in Buffalo

Ford doesn’t line up offsides. We would have blown out the Rams.

We still had the AFCCG at Arrowhead vs. the Bengals and choked the game in the 2nd half... The regular season game ended up being insignificant.

Except the regular season game was in Mahomes' head at the end of the first half, making him try to force that pass to Tyreek.

If O'Brien goes for it instead of kicking the FG up 21, or if the 49ers don't have to challenge the Tyreek 2nd down catch - giving Mahomes time to think of Wasp, we might not win the first SB.

If the Cincy dumbass doesn't shove Mahomes OOB or the Philly dumbass doesn't grab JuJu's jersey, we might not win the 2nd.

Chris Meck 04-23-2023 11:02 AM

The NFL is designed to create parity. A big percentage of games turn on one play, and the further into the play-offs you go, the more evenly matched the teams are, and these games will often come down to a few crucial make or break moments.

The idea that you can have the best player in football (and pay him as such) and STILL build a team that is somehow immune to this is folly, in my opinion.

I'd take my chances ANY and EVERY year with Mahomes plus best 52. It's going to work out more often than not.

We don't have to climb the mountain, we are the mountain.

It was in Andy’s head, too. He seemed panicked about being up by 11 (just like the regular season game) in his interview with the sideline reporter. I can’t remember another time seeing Andy spooked like that during a game, much less with a double digit lead. I think for whatever reason, that entire demeanor spread through our whole locker room that day.

Patrick and Andy both put to rest any idea that the Bengals/Burrow was their mental kryptonite this year - as in a much tighter game and with much more dire circumstances in front of them, they gutted out the dub.

Maybe. The regular season game against them was an epic shoot out. And with our defense that year, there is no reason to expect anything different.

It wouldn't have been the same since the Chiefs didn't have Kareem

KentuckyChief 04-23-2023 07:33 PM

I still say we are a dee ford offsides and a tyreek turnover from being in 5 straight SB’s. Of which we likely go 3-2. Maybe we don’t beat ‘em without Kareem but I still think we could have won against em in the rematch.

I'd like to think the officiating wouldn't have been so one-sided. IIRC somebody counted 13 uncalled false starts that the Lambs got away with.

The one that still haunts me is the '98 loss to ****ing Denver. Despite the cheating and the bent calls, I'll go to my grave believing that if Gannon had started over that idiot Grbac we'd have won the game and cruised all the way through the playoffs. That was the most complete team we ever had pre-Mahomes.

A lot of that was Marty though. For instance, kicking a FG from the Denver 3. Punting from the Denver 31. Grbac put up much better numbers than Elway, but he did take some key sacks that Gannon wouldnt. Biggest key for me is they took Gonzalez out of the game with only three catches. I blame the offensive scheme for that. Marty just didn't adapt in the playoffs.

When Chiefs players were openly worried this would be a team killing loss after the game that should have been ringing some alarm bells (probably why Marty & Carl went all out desperately signing everyone with character issues they could find that offseason).

There's been some dumb revisionism with some KC fans that Grbac played "fine" that game. The dude had to call 2 critical timeouts in the second half for being out of breath and clearly wasn't conditioned enough to play. Add in the fact that he wasn't allowed to THROW DEEP in the first half and that alone should have doomed Carl forever (he forced Elvis as a starter because of the amount they had paid him to be QBOTF). That loss was foundational in my fandom and there probably isn't another loss in KC's existence I have studied like that one.

BUT one of Tony's catches should have been ruled a TD. He was forced out while catching a TD pass in the end zone. At that time, that was illegal. Sooooo, instead of a TD, KC had to settle for a FG.

It was bad. I remember that game as a teenager and I was just disappointed. I watched that game 20 years later and just shook my head at the playcalling and execution by Grbac.

The phantom hold was on Manusky, IIRC. They also tried a fake FG that would have brought us within a point that was a cluster**** of a play. If we take that FG there, we could have just kicked a FG at the end of the game instead of desperately trying to get the ball in the end zone.

Hello Chiefs Nation: Hoping you tolerate fans of other teams here. Just a quick intro: I'm a Ravens fan, but your Chiefs have always been my 2nd favorite team. Always root for you guys after my Ratbirds are done for the season. Great tradition, classy
knowledgeable fans and franchise, and I love that you haven't given in to the PC crap and have kept your nickname.

I'm not allowed to start new threads here yet, and the reason I've selected this discussion is that I live in Cincinnati (originally from the Washington DC area), and I have to tell you how obnoxious Bengals fans have been since they "arrived" with Burrow, Chase, etc.

No one around here gave a crap about this team a few years ago and now they're all "superfans". Lots of brand new items being worn, but also you'll still see hundreds of Carson Palmer jerseys worn to games, even after his trade request. You CANNOT discuss football intelligently with 99% of these Village Idiots.

Dumbest fans in sports. I wear a Ravens jersey every game day and invariably someone will come up and ask if I'm in town for the game; I have to explain that it's in Baltimore. And that "Who-Dey" is like nails on a chalkboard.

Anyway, looking forward to engaging with you good fans, and again, hope you don't mind vistors from the competiton.

That Cincinnati mayor and his his PSA about the DNA test is probably one of the most cringe things I've ever heard. How that ****ing idiot thought that was remotely funny or clever is beyond comprehension.

If Russia nukes us, hopefully they take out Cincinnati first

Naw… they’ll leave it completely intact and our only place live, just for further agony and devastation.

knowledgeable fans and franchise, and I love that you haven't given in to the PC crap and have kept your nickname.

What's your record for dicks sucked in one day?

Groan.

This just reminded me of the weekly onslaught of idiot fans that invade every week telling us how their team is going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, also known as defending world champions and my favorite team.

Are you completely sure of all parties involved being “men”?

Len Dawson

Bob Griese

John Failway

Only 3 quarterbacks in the history of the league have ever won a SB after losing their first. Joey Brrrrrrridesmaid will never win a SB. Mother Faulker, your team will NEVER WIN A SUPER BOWL!!

Interesting. Might also help to list all the QBs that lost their first and never got back.
