The only issue I could see is if Ramsey is going to be adamant about a new deal after he gets traded.

Ramsey is a product of a losing environment.. bring him to a winning environment and he will thrive... just my two cents..

A couple of years then move him. |

Why would the Lions trade Darius Slay? Why would we want Jenkins or Johnson?

Trumaine Johnson? The guy getting paid $70 million by the Jets and they just benched him? **** no.
And if you’re trading for Janoris Jenkins.....then it better be for Ragland straight up. |

I love how fans on a message board concern themselves so much with the money aspect and the salary cap....in this day and age, they have ways of making it work.

Ali and Deion Sanders were the only ones who got away with that schtick but then again did they really? Ali fought waaaaaaay too long and suffered Parkinson's because of ego and lack of $$. Deion is a terminal "attention whore" who can't give the lime light up and demands that you acknowledge his greatness "at all times" everywhere he goes and his opinion and blessing are the only thing that count. Besides he chose not to tackle and good running offenses went right at him which was his achilles heel of his career. He embarrasses himself IMHO every time his show is on regardless of his takes. |
This franchise has spent the better part of their history trying to employ "The right 53" guys. Avoiding big personalities, or hushing them otherwise.
Zero championships in 50 years, guys. The Deions, Taylors, Lewises, and Ramseys of the world come with attitude. But attitude wins championships. |
Veach has shown he doesn’t care about your past. If you perform you will get paid

Who this? Seems like he has a reputation of tweeting AFTER things are announced so he looks credible. This is likely a shit source |
I’m starting to think the Terez report is to drive the price down. I don’t think Honey badger and Tyreek would be recruiting without having told the team that they are OK with bringing him along

Golden is a Vegas handicapper. Those guys don't make a habit out of floating unfounded bullshit since their jobs literally depend on credibility.

Per rival clubs, the asking price for Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey is two first-round picks.

That's a starting point. I don’t mind two firsts, just don’t want to extend him. Recoup them later.

Nah. Let Ramsey drive the price down with his toxicity.

I doubt you trade for him without having an extension in place.

Quote:
That might be the case with Ramsey? Well, at least we saw glimpses of that recently. But, if he doesn’t manage that stuff and fails to get it get that together in that sense that could effect him down the road? Also, this topic could be argued. Its really debatable. There are many psychological strategies/tactics that could work to make a successful athlete. And the strategies that are used vary from individual to individual. What works for one may not be best suited or fitted for the other. I guess it all depends on the individual? One could say that maybe Ramsey acts the way he does because its his way of creating his own self fulfilling prophecy. Sometimes I believe that you are a product of what you believe in. So there is that. Plus, even if he is insecure, its good in a way to act the way if it means positive reinforcement so he doesn’t fall off his own wagon so to speak. |
Doesn't seem ridiculous for a young all-pro CB
|
Quote:
Now what the Chiefs could do is kick the can down the line past 2020, if they think this cap is going to explode they could keep the team together if they kick it down the line to buy time. |
If two firsts is where it starts, they don't really want to trade him.
That's a "sure, we'll trade him if you blow us away" amount. |
