He’s the best college power bat and has seen his stock increase a lot. I think it’s a weird fit for the Royals.

This isn’t a draft where they need to save money for their second pick, not when there is such clear premium talent sure to be available at their pick, and not when their next pick falls so late.

I’d be floored if they passed on Witt for him.

What about the pitcher from Army? 2nd round?

There is no wrong pick in the top 2 as long as you take one of the top 2.

Kind of like there was no wrong pick at 1 in 2007 (David Price) or 2009 (Strasburg)
