I busted my ankle a few weeks back and was pissing in my cheerios.

I hear stories like yours and it blows me away. It also illustrates the indomitable spirit that some people have.

The 6 months on antibiotics failed!

Hey gang, been in the hospital ( again ) for a week now, trying again to conquer this infection. So here we are, out goes the left knee now, I'm officially Captain Pegleg. Yep, I now have 2 stiff legs with no knees for separation.

Having to learn how to get up on my feet, walk ( if possible ) with balance, basically having to live the next 6 weeks in bed.

After that if all infection is gone, we can try to replace a knee.

So back to 1 day at a time, taking a daily IV. :(
Darn it Roy, sorry to hear of your problems. Hope you are better soon.

Stuck in a nursing home facility, having to take an IV once a day.

Home health wanted to charge an additional $ 689.00 per week just for the medication, IV pump, supplies, nurse, etc. That is a bunch of B S to charge that much more than a nursing home facility.

I would much better be at home.

It's so easy to get wrapped up into our own issues and get down. Then look around a see somebody worst off, then that makes feel like a dummy knowing that other person is having it rougher. There is always, I say always somebody having it worst than yourself. It's better to stay humble in all situations and help others less fortunate.
