Don't build the retractable roof. It's ugly as ****. Looks like Chernobyl's new safe confinement. That thing rolls over the building it covers, too

It'll look a lot better once Stevieray climbs his old ass up there and paints a mural on it...

I'm concerned that Mahomes would blast a spiral into the roof and cause a cave in.

Jackson County residents will have a chance after all to weigh in on the future of the Royals and Chiefs by voting April 2 on whether or not to extend the stadiums sales tax for another 40 years.

Two of the four county legislators who last week said they were inclined to sustain County Executive Frank White Jr.’s veto, which would have kept the stadium tax off the spring ballot, now say they will vote to override that veto, The Star has learned.

Legislators Jalen Anderson and Sean Smith confirmed in text messages that they will put out statements that explain their reasoning ahead of Monday afternoon’s legislative meeting, when the override vote is set to take place.

Bah don't give me that! You know Hunt and the HOA(NFL) would make sure it looks more pleasing that that haha.

Look at this. It's another example of what the Super Bowl would have looked like IF the Rolling Roof was built.

https://ogden_images.s3.amazonaws.co...lor_sports.jpg

The roof would look much much more up to date than Chernobyl's haha.

Another option could be a modified version of what the Marlin's stadium idea.

So basically like the original rolling roof BUT it only covers the top and not the entire stadium.

I think for me I HATE full enclosed stadiums. Something about Football being played outdoors is just so much better and even if they went with a more traditional dome that could open its just not the same! So to have an option that simply covers the top to help with rain/snow but still have a feeling of "outdoors" should be the goal!

Well it worked out. Wonder how much watching Mahomes do his thing last night helped turn the tide on this.

Will they be required to announce the location of the new Royals stadium before the vote?

If someone would offer to put Frank White under it, I'm sure it'd pass.

The idea of a dome stadium

Pauly D 06-04-2024 02:19 PM

From other thread I posted:

KS state rep Sean Tarwater was on 810 there. MO sounds in deep deep shit if they wanna keep the Chiefs. STAR bonds bill being drafted up today or tomorrow which Chiefs are full onboard with. They'll 100% build them a dome too. Chiefs want a hotel, amphitheater etc. Tarwater mocked MO and Jackson County and said they will try to organize themselves with a rebuttal but aren't on the same page at all and Frank White will hurt them.

scoopeandscoreks.com just went live too

Having a dome would put us in the running for a Super Bowl, a final four and an annual bowl game

If you tell me Arrowhead is disappearing… dome, no dome, who cares.

But if it’s between Arrowhead and anything domed, then the former.

I don’t hate domes. I just hate losing Arrowhead. And if we do, go as commercial as possible.
