Good question. I'm still a n00b mod, so I don't really know. My personal opinion is that, as long as they're both keeping their dumbassery to one thread and not violating any of the bannable offenses, there's no real reason to boot 'em or anything. Now if they start going all over the place and being assholes in every post, I'd have to think about it.
