Bob D. Campbell and Company was the structural engineer for the Truman Sports Complex. He probably has had a good laugh about all this cancer of concrete.

Yeah that's pretty dramatic. It doesn't need to be either/or. It is in the best interest of Jackson County to keep the teams and public officials are elected to do what's in the best interest of the area they represent. And maybe that means letting the teams walk. But they are literally elected into leadership positions to problem solve and think creatively about things like this. That doesn't have to mean writing a blank check with tax money for Clark Hunt.

The owners are not the victims, if they wanted to stay in Jackson county then a deal would have been done already. But the teams hold all the cards. They will get a sweetheart deal from someone.

I want one of the teams to jump the state line just to see what kind of excuses Quinton Lucas makes. That dude has ridden Sly James’ coattails for 5 years, allowing homicide rates to go out of control, homeless encampments to largely pepper downtown, the plaza to become a shell of its former self, and largely doing nothing at all.

The airport, the World Cup, the Street Car, new downtown construction…all shit that was stamped under Sly’s watch. Lucas is more interested in photo ops and rubbing shoulders in DC (where he really wants to be) than he is in the betterment of Kansas City.

Can’t stand that dude.

I totally agree with that. I think the teams have all the leverage. Especially the Chiefs. They can do pretty much whatever they want.

My point was that even when you look at that statement from Frank White, he doesn't say anything or use any kind of language that a politician would say about working to keep the Royals and Chiefs. He kind of comes across like he's powerless watching the waves roll by, when he is the government official who actually has the ability to work with the teams to try and come up with a deal or plan that would be more acceptable for taxpayers. Or just say we're not doing this.

I don't see why he couldn't do that in his early forties if he is motivated and reasonably fortunate with serious injuries.

And still be a top 5 QB.

It's certainly possible but less than 1% of QBs can do it. Brady and Vinny Testaverde are like the only ones

Maybe he owns land at the Legends.

He has been nothing but a roadblock in this whole mess.

He's a scorned lover on his way to earning a restraining order.

The Royals didn't want him. Tax payers despise him. The only card he has left to play is burning the house down.

Seems totally tefloned by local media. They fawn over every statement he makes

The more you look at those stadium plans in Kansas, it's actually one hell of a design. Lots of Arrowhead tributes in it.

I believe that the royals and chiefs no longer find it favorable to be roommates at TSC and are the ones responsible for the lack of partnership with the city. White wanted a better more transparent plan and the teams didn't give it to him.

You can't negotiate with someone who doesn't want to negotiate. You say its Frank, I think it's the teams. Frank has everything to lose, the teams have everything to gain.

He tried to stop the vote from happening. If the legislatures hadn't vetoed White and forced the vote then we wouldn't be in this situation.

Let's go! The stadium complex right next to the casino too. More money for me.

He's part of the problem
1) Who owns the stadium(s), not the teams
2) How much employment tax will KCMO lose
3) Property tax on abandoned stadiums, who is paying that
4) Missouri loses money on less employment and the players salaries they have to pay on gameday checks
5) Is it the teams that are deferring maintenance or Jackson County
6) To redevelop TSC, after the teams leave, who pays the demo cost?

Look at KCMO, no pro hockey, no pro basketball, no pro baseball, no pro football, no leadership
