But yea they can have Marp.

Yes, he has been part of the surge. I meant after this season...and it was you know joking. Nobody is taking that salary on, let alone the millstone around our neck in Carpenter.

Yelich fractured his knee cap tonight. Obviously done for the year.

Team could be dangerous if a few certain leadership positions were changed...

Video's kind of painful to watch. Fouled a pitch right off the kneecap.

Oh, and we lost 2-1 to the ****ing Rockies. :banghead:

1 run in that bandbox ain’t going to get a division title done.

2 opportunities with a runner on 3rd and less than 1 out and we didn't cash either of them in.

Nobody to blame but themselves for that one. And once again, credit to Shildt for getting another good pitching performance in a Wacha start. 2 ER in Colorado with Wacha taking the mound is pretty damn impressive. It's been interesting to watch this all happen while he's on the same schedule as Wheeler (who gave up 1 ER in a 3-2 win last night). I'm not sure the outcomes would've been different on any of these games that Wacha pitched. When we've lost Wacha's starts since the trade deadline, it's been almost exclusively due to poor offense. Or in the case of the time Wacha did get bludgeoned, we still got shutout so it wouldn't have made a difference.

The Cards have gone 3-4 in Wacha starts since the deadline. In 3 of those 4 losses they've scored 1, 1, and 0. The 4th is the only one where you can really pin it on Wacha, that Giants loss last week. And Wacha didn't pitch poorly, the bullpen did. But if it's Wheeler pitching he gets through longer and they probably win that one. Then again, Wheeler's had 2 starts where he gave up 5 in his own right over this span.

I just don't think we can say there's been a difference to this point.

1 run on...lets see......1 hit......that's all we got....one god damn hit?

Frazod 09-11-2019 07:58 AM

At least the Scrubs pissed one away last night as well.

yeah, that was good. The cubs need to make up ground, cant depend on sweeps in the head to head games. Games clock is ticking now. They have way more pressure on them than we do.

I got to see this one in person last night. Fantastic night at the park, about 70 and no wind. It was a good game. Arenado hit a 480 ft 2 run homer in the 1st and that was it. Dexter hit a double and scored in the 4th I think.

You gave up talented players for Chris Archer.

I have nothing else to add to this post, just thought I'd remind you.

That trade was a Grade A abortion.

Giving up both Tyler Glasnow and Austin Meadows for that hack of a pitcher was disgusting. Didn't get it then and still don't. It's like our GM works for the other team.

You guys must have a guardian angel, arguably the two superstars from division foes lost for the season in a matter of days.

And the 'throw in' former first round pick as the PTBNL (don't recall his name) is pitching well in the low minors as well; seems right on track to be what you'd expect from a first rounder.

I remember thinking the deal was one-sided even when I expected the PTBNL to be some organizational roster filler like they usually are. Then it turned out to be your 1st rounder from the year before (like a top 15 pick, IIRC); a genuine top 100 prospect.

And just laaaaaaughed and laaaughed and laughed. For Chris "sure my ERA sucks but man my xFIP is pretty" Archer.

Not a great deal. Not a great deal at all.

If we had a guardian angel Matt Carpenter would get hit by ten bolts of lightning at once.
