They really are losers to pack it in the way they have after losing to the Chiefs.

The team that beat KC and gave them a heck of a game in the rematch had no business getting raped by the Falcons, did everything they could to lose to the Jets, and now getting smacked by the Colts.

They also beat the Browns and Saints. They really thought the Super Bowl was played before Thanksgiving. Now they’re going to probably miss the playoffs. Remarkable the way they have tanked

InChiefsHeaven 12-14-2020 06:28 AM

I have to say, I'm a little surprised at their downfall. I guess they really did just lay it all on the line to beat KC, and just have nothing in the tank left after we beat them last time. It just felt like that was a team that was finally getting over their own stupid crap. Guess not.

They actually have a shot to overtake Miami. Miami plays the Patriots, Raiders, and Buffalo to close out their season. The problem is, the Ravens are gonna take that spot if Miami loses it. Baltimore plays the Jaguars, Giants and Bengals. So they're likely gonna win out.

backinblack 12-18-2020 10:26 AM

nobody in the world even wants the Raiders to make it after the last three weeks, unless you want a new placeholder for worst wildcard playoff game. might even outclass the 2016 appearance when they were playing with a third string QB, the defense is that bad.

Gruden just isn't a good coach. He won with another mans team then suxked.

Megatron96 12-18-2020 11:17 AM

Well, let's be honest here. Gruden's offense is good enough to win a lot of games. They beat us by scoring 40 points. and they've averaged 28 points/game this season. That's enough to win 66% of your games most years.

The defense hasn't been good since before he got there. And okay, Gruden's the HC, so the defensive struggles are part of his responsibility, but he's not the DC either.

If Gruden has a weakness, it's that he's too loyal to some players. He decided to make Carr a franchise QB, and he's just wrong. Other than that, he's put together a pretty good offense, and Carr is better than he was, but he's still Carr. Gruden should've moved off him after last season, but here we are.

POND_OF_RED 12-26-2020 10:37 PM

He’s a great draft analyst, the best in the business, but he’s just not a GM.

RunKC 12-27-2020 12:22 AM

It’s pure ego. He’s really not that different than Pioli. The draft is not hard when you’re picking that high.

Everyone knew Josh Allen was better than Clelin Ferrell except Mayock. Everyone knew Jerry Jeudy was better than Henry Ruggs.

Everyone who followed the draft with even the smallest amount of detail would say that Damon Arnette was a complete joke of a pick that early and yet there’s Mayock making a fool of himself.

It shouldn’t be a surprise considering Mayock thought the world of such stars such as Dexter McCluster and Robert Ayers.

But Jeudy, Lamb, Jefferson all should have been drafted before Ruggs who has one elite route.

Position coaches, and offensive coordinators can teach a player how to run routes, or route tree concepts, etc. but they can't coach a player to run fast.

See Tyreek Hill for proof of statement.

41 catches on 91 targets. That's abysmal and I've seen Jeudy drop enough balls to not just point the finger at Lock and say it's all his fault.

Raiders ended up at 8-8 because we had the worst defense in the history of the Raiders, not because of any Ref BS. Seriously. We set the franchise record for most points allowed. Still only came in at 19th worst all time though.

Raiders need to get a pass-rushing DT or another EDGE, a decent LB probably, and get rid of Carr. They've gone as far as they're going to go with that guy. With a decent defense they could go 9-10 wins. But they could also easily go 8-9 wins even with a good defense because Derek is so unpredictably hot and cold. Build up their DL, and go find a better QB. Not Stafford.
