Really didn't matter. There's so much different that even when the big events are the same it's hard to predict how things will go down. I'm on issue 70 now (group first arrives at Alexandria) and will probably finish 75 before hitting the sack.

For anyone interested in reading the comix I'd highly recommend it. You're no more likely to know exactly what's going to happen than if you read a Marvel Avengers comic and think you'll be able to predict the Avengers: AOU movie...

Thanks Rausch. That's why I read all spoilers. Gives me something to look forward to, but not exactly. Fun show, like Saul.

I don't look at it as them being "bad guys."

It's more "this is the best thing we've seen and we can't let these idiots **** it up. No matter what."

A huge thing people don't think about is just how good the writing is on the show. They have set up things SEASONS in advance for a payoff later. One or two seasons ago they kept talking about how "you can come back" or "you get to come back" after good people do terrible things.

This season you heard Rick give the speech. The "we are the walking dead" speech. There's a reason. He's comparing them to the walking dead for a reason.

Yeah, you get to come back, but you're forever changed. You aren't what you were. Sometimes, what comes back is horrible...

And the Michone thing is right on. Her and Rick are eventually gonna bump heads and maybe Carl kills her in the finale?

Where is the love between Glenn and Maggie? Seems like a couple would like to get in the mood after a shower and having a nice place to do so. Maybe they just didn't show.

What the hell is Carol pulling? She is a smarty but I think the poker playing politician has her nailed already. When someone tells you what they are without being asked(I'm a people person), they are trying to present a face and a poker player picks up on that.

That blonde is way too friendly. Maybe she has a "job" in the community and it's more than just free haircuts.

What were the scout team guys doing? Just trying to tie them back up? It almost looked like that guy was trying to get bit. And who the hell holds a grudge on a walker?

Anyway, I was pleased with this episode and look forward to next week.

Oh, and I have not read one word of the graphic novel. Maybe I should. How old are the comics? Is this something that was written years ago or are they recent?

The Blonde works at the food pantry.

I just had a thought: Maybe Alexandria hasn't been "lucky".

Perhaps there is a hired army outside of Alexandria's walls that is protecting it, and the leader needed to bring our group into the city to protect the soft residents from the protectors outside the walls.

The leader doesn't want a watchtower guard to see what is going on outside the walls. She doesn't want the new people to see what is going on outside. She has made a deal with the devil.

Instead of an "A" their marking is a "W'. For some reason "The Time Machine" came to mind along with the strange relationship between the Morlocks and the Eloi.

A W is an upside down M. I don't know, I can't sleep, so perhaps I have gone insane. :D

TambaBerry 03-09-2015 07:27 AM

I think they mark the w on the heads as kind of a radar. Mark a bunch of zombies find them killed and you know people are around.

She can play the ole, "Awe shucks, I just wanted to make some cookies for that nosy little shit I just threatened with leaving outside for the walkers."

Zebedee DuBois 03-09-2015 03:55 PM

The other thing that trips Carol, is why little Johnny can't sleep anymore and is having nightmares. Protective parents will hunt that down.

But I really think the chocolate is what gives her away. The hefty lady that keeps the storehouse doesn't give a fig about those guns, but that chocolate is another story! Once she discovers the chocolate deficit the only way you will shut her up is with a pasta maker.

There is a lot left undiscussed, which I think Rick would be already asking. What is the population? Enough to keep the water and electricity running - and that takes resources. More resources than what would be behind that fence. How big is that complex? We've only seen a few blocks. How can the seem so inept but have such high end consumables as beer and whiskey? They have to be running some initiation test on our crew to see hoq they respond to their 'weak' status - because the can't really be that lucky to have survived that long.

You plant the chocolate, and perhaps one of the guns, in the hefty lady's house. You remove her from the store room and put yourself in there.

Boom. Our group now has access to any weapon at any time.

They already know the answers. It isn't sustainable. They know it won't last. They know these tools can't defend themselves.

Yup. FMB and I had talked about this earlier in the topic because Andrea is the sniper in the comics, plays a major roll in upcoming events and we wondered who was going to take her place in the show. We have our answer now.

I am wondering if Andrea is replaced by more than one character. Sasha as the sniper part, blond milf as Rick's bed partner to be, and also a part of running Alexandria.

He [the preacher] does the grain of a point. The group has seen enough from both walkers and survivors to have an implicit pact that if things go henke, THEY are the ones who will persevere. They don't trust anyone else left on earth outside their group.

But trust can be built. They've added and lost trusted members before.

They certainly haven't fallen into an idyllic situation, with the abusing husband, and Aiden dying on their first joint mission, and the seeming power plays, and the cowardice of the community.

They're not Satan, but they are alphas.

I think it might have something to do with the hacking up of the Terminus fellas...pretty brutal and probably un-necessary, but they did it out of anger, revenge, what have you. Could have shot them, but instead they brutally hacked them apart. No less than they deserved mind you but I'm just saying. Our group is becoming less and less "the good guys" and more just surviving, and spiraling down into a brutal mindset.
