We know very well how that works from vast experience.

That's why a play for #4 or #7 pick won't shock me. If SF takes Mac @ #3 (which I just can't believe that's what they'll do)... then, I think anything can happen. I don't think they make a play for Teddy in a 1 year scenario without Fields or Lance being the R1 goal. And, they got him cheap enough that it won't hurt whatever it might cost to move to 4 or 7.
