Their defense isn't bad, but I wouldn't put them in the top 10 defenses in the league. Their offense is a dumpster fire, and while Lock is a lot of the problem, their OL is a mess, and they don't have a skill position player who has accomplished anything other than the occasional flashy play.

Exactly. No one on offense has proven to be elite. Sutton and Fant are maybe above average at their positions, and they have a few WRs with potential and a couple decent RBs. With an O-line that was among the worst.

I actually think their defense can be at least close to elite if they stay healthy, but of course they go way overboard. To them, adding a few decent players to their secondary and getting Von Miller back automatically vaults them from allowing 28 pts/game to the stingiest D in the world.

Then you have Fangio...

Did the Packers think he'd fold or something he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to do that

People like to make a big deal out of players sitting out, but for the elite players, the fines are negligible. It's obviously not a good look, but when Rodgers will likely make 40 times that or more this season, it's not like it's really a big concern for either side.

Put another way...Peyton Manning's endorsement money dwarfs the football money.

Sutton's best season would have placed him around 14-15 this season...

If Rodgers were to be traded after holding out of camp...how bad would that screw up the Broncos offensive system? They would be moving at least one offensive player (Jeudy/Fant?) and Rodgers would have zero practice time developing chemistry and learning the terminology/playbook.

It's a pretty big deal to go from the #2 OL to #25...Denver has had their staring QB injured nearly every season going back to 2015. Not a great combination for a 38 year old QB...

Packers having the 2nd best OL in the NFL played a big part in his MVP level season last year...that element would be gone.

Wouldn't the refs just rig it so that his O-line would be allowed to hold more?

Rodgers is slated to make $40 million per....that is $2.5 million a game. He makes $41,666 a minute...so skipping this camp costs 2 1/2 minutes of pay.

Also, the Packers can choose not to fine him at all.

Rodgers was just spotted at a dispensary in Pueblo.
