Let's say you did a throwing distance competition among all NFL QBs. Backups and starters alike
What percentage of QBs would Mahomes beat if he competed throwing left handed? Like, it's fair to say he'd beat a Damon Huard type guy (does the NFL have anybody like that right now?) but could he top out the starters with below average arm strength? Mariota. Do you think he could beat Mariota? What about somebody who was average and now has a bit less zip on the ball due to age like Brady? More importantly, for QBs like Drew Lock, do we count their wildly inaccurate arms against their total distance score if they couldn't pinpoint the general direction of throwing down the field? Like, if he fires a pass and it takes a wild path in the air before landing 10 yards behind him, is that a negative distance score? |

Right now. The reporter was saying that in 2019 Tom Brady has more zip on the ball than Patrick Mahomes II. This would be a fun contest to watch. NFL-wide, I mean. Not Brady versus Patrick Mahomes II, because that would be a non-event. |
If the CBS are dog shit in preseason, you probably see another Ward-like trade or a vet signing (like Scandrick was).
If they can’t nail the position down by midseason again, I expect a bigger move at the deadline. |

I don’t think it will be but I’d still like to see them make a move just for some depth |
When is Mahomes going to have a throwing contest with Josh Allen.

Was that said as a poetic hyperbole? Like if you're hungry and you say, "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!" that indicates that anybody who could actually eat an entire horse would perform a super-human feat and be the greatest there ever was at eating mass quantities of food. Like, a person who could eat a horse is Patrick Mahomes when it comes to throwing and putting zip on the ball. As it is, it's not possible for a human to eat an entire horse in one sitting, nor is it possible for Tom Brady to put more zip on his throws than Patrick Mahomes, but by comparing yourself to the superhuman, you're trying to say that it's an extreme case by your own mortal standards. You're hungry and are trying to say "Let's get food because I'm hungry" by using hyperbole, just as a sports reporter is saying, "Man, for a 42-year old pedophile, Tom Brady can put a lot of zip on his throws!" |

Does Mahomes go for 5000 and 50 again?
I know the defense should be better but Brady and Manning had solid defenses when they did it, so Mahomes should be able to as well. Imagine a guy having 100 career TD passes at age 24. LMAO |

After watching Bienemy's press conference, I really think he might be the best OC we've had of the Reid era. He's probably the most well-rounded guy we've had from the standpoint of being an innovator but also from knowing the finer points of coaching each offensive position, and tying those together to create gameplans.
He talked about Watkins' size combined with his speed and how tall dudes can be fast, but it makes it more difficult to control that height and do sudden direction changes while keeping up that speed, and how that's something he really really encouraged Watkins to improve and fine-tune this year and how it's paying off. He didn't say this, but it's kind of clear that he coaches players to improve technical aspects of their positions with the understanding of, "If you do this, we can run X and add Y element to Z packages..." And he's doing that across the board. Obviously for RBs, but also the TEs, WRs, OL, and he's still working closely with Mahomes and the other QBs. People were a bit worried about a guy with only RB coaching experience running an offense based so heavily on creative pass concepts, but I think Bienemy is a bit more refined in the way he can work with all of the offensive positions moreso than Pederson and Nagy were. And as it is, we've still got fantastic QB coaches to keep up on Mahomes. And this makes sense. Andy Reid wasn't a QB. He was an OL guy, whose first position coach job was TEs, and then one day out of nowhere he was the QB coach to Brett Favre, who had just won a Super Bowl. I don't think there's any reason why Bienemy couldn't become equally as adept, particularly if he possess Andy Reid's creativity. |
Bienemy's demeanor is really good too - he comes across as a guy players would respect but also like. But he could get on their ass too and they wouldn't tune him out.

I expect Bienemy to be a HC this time next year.

The entire offseason the biased media has been saying "Mahomes is poised to take a step back this year." I guess they were right...
In practice, he is taking 1 step back and firing lasers to open guys. No wasted movement, footwork, and accuracy looking amazing! |

Yeah, not clicking on that.
Maybe I'll give them a click if the title is something like, "I'm sorry for being a terrible reporter unable to separate news and facts from biases and opinions." Variations on a theme and whatnot. As long as they continue to stick their heads in the sand and insist they did nothing wrong and especially exacerbate it by scolding Hill when he gives a VERY polite, "**** you" to the person who almost ruined his life, I'm not clicking on any of their shit. |

That settles it. Patrick Mahomes is Jesus. He performs miracles. He loves being with people on the team who have issues. Yeah, he teaches elite followers like Kelce, but he'd rather spend time with the losers. I can see his locker room pep talks now:
Blessed are the disliked #1 overall pick fatties from terrible draft classes, for they shall look competent! Blessed are the talentless undrafted loser WRs, for they shall make the 53 man roster! Blessed are those unfairly framed for heinous acts by local fish wrap, for they shall avoid suspension! Blessed are the WRs ignored by Alex Smith, for they shall catch my first career TD pass! Blessed are the defensive backs who complain about no-look passes in practice, for their asses shall be dragged to a Super Bowl victory! |
