They asked for more data to make conclusions about the age shift, dumbass. Here are the 3 flaws noted: 1. what proportion of that 06-13 sample for players under 22 is Mike Trout? (if mike trout is your standard and one of the only players contributing to that data point, of course that curve is going to look like shit in comparison) 2. that the level of talent of call-ups tend to drop with increasing age (since the best go through the minors faster) and the level of ‘native talent’ of older hitters tends increase. 3.so aggregating gives a false picture of the statistics–it tends to increase the stats at the right and left sides of the graph at the expense of the ‘peak’. |

Then use the red curve (95-05). Locate years 32-36. Report back.

Can't say I ever expected to see a Royals team with 70 wins and a 12 game division lead in mid-August. What a ride so far.

No Sunday day game...****s up the whole day...
Now I'm going to have to do yard work or some bullshit. Thanks, ESPN and your shitty non-local announcers that I'll have to listen to tonight. |

@Frank20White: It's been quite a while since I've felt Kauffman Stadium grass under my feet. Franchise Four September 1st. See you all there.

Tell me about it. You know this team is good when the main concern on this team is not if they are going to playoffs but who will be the Royals number three pitcher in the playoffs.

The Kansas City Royals have added some veteran depth to the organization, agreeing to terms Sunday with Wandy Rodriguez and Joba Chamberlain on minor-league contracts.
Rodriguez started 15 games this season for the Texas Rangers, going 6-4 with a 4.90 ERA in 86 1/3 innings. The lefty was released by Texas on Aug. 4. The Royals also brought in Chamberlain, who came out of the Detroit Tigers' bullpen 30 times this season. He struggled to a 4.09 ERA in 22 innings. The 29-year-old signed a minor-league deal with the Toronto Blue Jays on July 21 after his release from the Tigers. At the time, Chamberlain was a potential veteran arm out of the Blue Jays' bullpen. But with the acquisition of LaTroy Hawkins in the Troy Toluwizki deal, the bullpen corps was solidified, and he opted out of his contract. |
