Wow. I am really enjoying this show. I knew nothing of this character before starting the show but he is really compelling. It is a great cast too! Visually engaging too, much like Hannibal was for me.

Parks and Rec is a quality sitcom, it starts off slow because it's trying to be a sequel to The Office, which it does OK but the hook of 'documentary' doesn't really explore all the situations possibilities. After the first mini-season, it shifts subtly to the personalities of the cast. Further, the writing tightens up as they keyed into the absurdist humor in trying to run local government with all the small time egos and gripes they have to deal with. It's not so much about the plot or the narrative as the little moments, situations and scenes.

All the actors are top-notch as is the writing. It's not mind-blowing or revolutionary, but it's comfortable and endearing like an inside joke between lifelong friends. Kind of like hanging out with wisecracking buddies like on Cheers and Friends.

The last three episodes have been fantastic, and the season finale was the best of the season.

Spoiler!

Just watched the first episode. What a knockout. Quirky and the visual style is amazing

I had to go back and watch that again. I didn't remember any damn sphere. They ran stuff after the credits. That was a little messed up but I guess going with the show that screws with your head... why not.

Yeah, it's a post-credits sequence setting up the next chapter.

This IS a Marvel property, remember.

All of this especially the hope that they didn't peak in season one. One of the very few tv shows I watched episodes one at a time instead letting a few pile up on the dvr.
